Official: Genoa complete Rolon loan deal

Spanish club Malaga confirm they have loaned midfielder Esteban Rolon to Genoa for the season.

The Argentine heads to Marassi on a temporary basis, having made only ten appearances for the La Liga side last term.

The 23-year-old joined Malaga from Argentinos in his homeland but struggled to impose himself in the south of Spain.

As such, he has joined the Rossoblu in search of more regular game time as he continues to adjust to European football.

Racing Club confirm Centurion

Racing Club Avellaneda have confirmed the imminent arrival of Ricardo Centurion from Genoa for €4m.

They were his first professional club and still owned 30 per cent of the player’s contract.

This means they have reached an agreement to buy out the remaining 70 per cent from Genoa for around €4m.

“All the Racing fans want him back and he’ll probably blow the game wide open,” President Victor Blanco told TyC Sports.

Centurion set for Racing Avellaneda

After talks with Boca Juniors broke down, Genoa are on the verge of selling Ricardo Centurion to Racing Avellaneda.

The troubled wide man only joined the Grifone over the summer, but struggled to make any impact.

He had been close to Malaga, then Boca Juniors dived in, but would only take him on loan.

Now both Clarin and Tuttomercatoweb claim that Genoa and Racing Avellaneda are down to the details in their negotiations.

Centurion won't be joining Boca

Malaga might be back in for Ricardo Centurion after Genoa broke off negotiations with Boca Juniors.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Grifone have definitively ended talks because Boca were only prepared to take the striker on loan.

He turns 25 later this week and his career has been beset by problems off the field and reports of his bad attitude.

Genoa signed the fiery Argentine in August for €5m from Sao Paulo, but he made only five appearances between Serie A and the Coppa Italia for a total 201 minutes of football.

Centurion set for Malaga loan

Genoa forward Ricardo Centurion is thought to be on the verge of moving on loan to Spanish side Malaga.

The 24-year-old joined the Grifone from Sao Paolo in the summer, but has played just 53 minutes in Serie A so far this season.

Now Sky Italia is reporting that the Argentinian is set to move on loan to La Liga for the rest of the season to get more playing time.

Centurion’s loan is not expected to include any buyout options, as Genoa still believe he can have an important role, but his move should be officially confirmed in the coming days.

Benfica or Malaga for Gabigol?

Inter striker Gabriel Barbosa reportedly has interest from Benfica and Malaga, while Stevan Jovetic could return to Sevilla.

Both forwards are surplus to requirements for the Nerazzurri, at least this season, and neither featured in the opening day win over Fiorentina.

According to Sky Italia, Gabriel Barbosa, known as Gabigol, is unlikely to join Sporting as the Portuguese club won’t contribute to the cost of his wages in a loan deal.
