Torino in for Locatelli

Torino reportedly want to take Milan’s Manuel Locatelli on loan, and Daniele Baselli could move the other way.

According to Tuttosport, Toro are also interested in Locatelli, but Milan don’t want to let the youngster leave permanently.

Milan eye up Baselli

Milan are interested in Torino midfielder Daniele Baselli, but are more likely to make a bid for next season than in January.

According to Sky Sport Italia pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, the Rossoneri have sent out feelers for the former Atalanta man.

A January move seems unlikely in the circumstances, especially as Milan already have several midfielders struggling for playing time, including Lucas Biglia and Manuel Locatelli.

However, his relationship with Torino Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is tense and he could well seek a transfer in the summer.

Unimaginative Milan

Vincenzo Montella’s adjusted midfield shape failed to threaten Napoli’s goal at the San Paolo, explains Matthew Santangelo.

In the build-up to Napoli-Milan, multiple reports out of Italy suggested Coach Vincenzo Montella was leaning towards not only fielding a few different faces, but also running out a different shape. Naturally, opinions were mixed on the many projected changes, but once official line-ups were announced, the Rossoneri’s formation and placement of certain personnel resulted in plenty of head-scratching.
