Sousa or Montella for Udinese

Udinese are considering Paulo Sousa or Vincenzo Montella if they decide to sack Julio Velazquez, claim Sky Sport Italia.

The Spaniard is in his first Serie A experience, but has struggled when getting to grips with Italian football.

So far, the Friulani have picked up just two wins, two draws and five defeats, scoring eight goals and conceding 13.

According to the latest reports, Udinese are looking to Coaches with more experience for the role.

The main candidates are former Milan boss Montella and ex-Fiorentina tactician Sousa.

Gattuso only real option for Milan

Gennaro Gattuso remains the most likely candidate to replace Vincenzo Montella if Milan sack their Coach.

The tactician is believed to be hanging by a thread and could be axed if they fail to beat Sassuolo on Sunday.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport, the only real alternative at the moment is Gattuso.

Currently in charge of the Primavera youth team, the former midfielder is already under contract with the Rossoneri and represents a symbol of the club’s successful past.

Montella can revive Milan again

Vincenzo Montella fixed Milan’s problems once and he can do it again, writes Richard Hall, if given time.

The Duomo di Milano sits proudly in the aptly named Piazza del Duomo and is perhaps the ever- present symbol of Milanese patience. The ground was broken to create the structure in 1386 and it was officially completed in 1965. The city’s second cathedral, at San Siro, has also evolved over the years and it is perhaps to these great creations that fans of the Rossoneri should look to when beckoning in change. Their team is also undergoing a vast facelift and, whilst the results are not yet as beautiful as they want right now, there is reason to be patient.

Mazzarri and Sousa linked with Milan

Walter Mazzarri and Paulo Sousa are two names being linked with the Milan job, should Vincenzo Montella be sacked.

The Rossoneri Coach has come under intense pressure in recent weeks following a poor run of results that has left the San Siro club well off the pace in the race for Champions League places.

Last night’s 2-0 home defeat to Juventus only added to the scrutiny on Montella, who has now presided over just one win in six Serie A matches.
