Zidane: 'Real Madrid deserved it'

Zinedine Zidane believes “it was a penalty” for Real Madrid and “over the two legs we deserved to go through” against Juventus.

It was a dramatic night at the Bernabeu, as Juve wiped out the 3-0 first leg result and were 30 seconds away from extra time when a penalty was awarded for a Medhi Benatia nudge on Lucas Vazquez, converted by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Szczesny agent: ‘Buffon renewal no problem’

Wojciech Szczesny’s agent insists “it’s no problem for us” if Gianluigi Buffon signs a new Juventus contract.

The veteran goalkeeper had been expected to retire at the end of the season, and the Bianconeri signed Szczesny to replace him.

However, it has now been suggested that 40-year-old could play on, something which wouldn’t be an issue for the Pole.

“Szczesny loves Juventus and the fans, and he has an extraordinary relationship with Buffon,” Jonathan Barnett assured, speaking to Tuttosport.

Buffon: ‘Juventus can make history’

Gianluigi Buffon hopes Juventus “can make history” on Saturday, but they’ll have to “pay extra attention” to Real Madrid’s forwards.

The Bianconeri will win the treble if they defeat Los Merengues in Cardiff, and would be only the second Italian side to achieve that feat, after Inter in 2010.
