Immobile: 'Try for Higuain's record'

Ciro Immobile insists Lazio are not looking at a Scudetto push yet, but he would love to beat Gonzalo Higuain’s all-time Serie A scoring record.

The forward hit a hat-trick in this afternoon’s 5-1 victory over Sampdoria, taking him to 23 in 19 games, plus six assists.

“We wanted to start the second half of the season well and mustn’t underestimate any opposition, especially as Sampdoria were on good form,” the striker told Sky Sport Italia.

Higuain: 'Sarri and I both stubborn!'

Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain has opened up about his relationship with coach Maurizio Sarri. “We are both stubborn!”

Higuain played under Sarri for a single season at Napoli in 2015-16, in which the striker scored 36 league goals, breaking the record set by Milan legend Gunnar Nordhal in the 1950s.

The Argentine then shared a half season with Sarri whilst together at Chelsea last year, before coming together again at Juventus this season.

Sarri: 'Goal of rare beauty'

Maurizio Sarri said the Gonzalo Higuain duet with Paulo Dybala was “worth the ticket price, a goal of rare beauty” for Juventus, but won’t call it Sarriball.

The Bianconeri swept Udinese aside 4-0 this evening to set up a Coppa Italia Quarter-Final against either Roma or Parma.

“It’s always a bit unsure going into one-off knockout games, but we played very well for long periods of the match,” the coach told Rai Sport.

Dybala recorded farewell video?

Paulo Dybala was close to leaving Juventus last summer to such an extent that the Argentine recorded a farewell video, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Bianconeri had shopped Dybala across Europe in a bid to readdress their finances after Gonzalo Higuain refused to leave the club.

Tottenham and Manchester United immediately expressed an interest in signing Dybala, but La Gazzetta claims that it was the London side that wanted the forward most.

Juve handed Higuain boost

Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain has resumed training following a minor injury, in a pre-Roma boost.

The Argentine hitman trained separately yesterday after complaints of muscle fatigue in his left thigh.

However, Juve confirmed earlier that he returned to training on Friday with the rest of the squad.

He should therefore be passed fit to face Roma at the Olimpico on Sunday night.

Higuain has scored five goals in 16 Serie A appearances this season for the Bianconeri.

Kulusevski perfect for Juve future

Dejan Kulusevski represents a real coup for Juventus, but Vilizar Yakimov believes it only makes sense if he remains at Parma for this season.

It’s safe to say that 2019 was Dejan Kulusevski’s year. After making only three appearances for Atalanta last term, the talented teenager not only found his place at Parma, but has also become the Ducali’s most influential player.

Kulusevski’s tally of four goals and seven assists means that he has been directly involved in 46% of Parma’s goals this term. In fact, if we keep digging into his stats, we could well say that the 19-year-old Swede has been one of the best players not only at Parma, but in the whole league.
