Higuain follows Matuidi to Inter Miami?

Gonzalo Higuain could follow former Juventus teammate Blaise Matuidi by signing for MLS club Inter Miami.

New coach Andrea Pirlo said in no uncertain terms that Higuain is not part of his plans and should find himself another club.

His contract expires in June 2021, so he is negotiating a termination by mutual consent, which would allow the Bianconeri to save on his €7.5m per season wages.

According to L'Obs transfer correspondent Abdellah Boulma, 32-year-old Higuain is in advanced negotiations with Inter Miami.

Juve struggle to offload Higuain

Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain has no intentions of terminating his contract in Turin, but the Old Lady keep pushing him away to make room for Edin Dzeko.

Roma are meeting with the Bosnia international to discuss the future today and could possibly enter negotiations with Juventus over a deal.

If Dzeko leaves the Italian capital, the door opens for Napoli forward Arek Milik, who has been linked with both Juventus and Roma in recent months.

Pirlo confirmed Higuain's time is up

Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo has confirmed Gonzalo Higuain will leave the Old Lady this summer. ‘We decided our paths must be divided’.

The Argentine arrived from Napoli in July 2016 and has picked up three Scudetti and two Coppa Italia in his four years with the Bianconeri.

Pirlo praised the 32-year-old but admitted his time at the Allianz Stadium is up.

“I spoke to Higuain. He’s a person I admire very much, he had an important period here and was a great player,” Pirlo said at a press conference.

Sarri won't let Juve off contract hook

According to La Stampa newspaper, Maurizio Sarri is playing hardball in negotiations with Juventus, who want to terminate his contract by mutual consent.

The Bianconeri fired Sarri after just one season in charge, despite the fact he won the Scudetto and reached the Coppa Italia Final.

The 61-year-old is still under contract for another two years, so because he was sacked, Juventus have to keep paying his salary.

Juventus take financial hit with Higuain

Juventus are likely to make a financial loss of €18m on Gonzalo Higuain, but are ready to take the hit in order to get him off their books.

Multiple sources report that Andrea Pirlo and the club do not see Pipita being part of their plan for the 2020-21 season.

His contract runs to June 2021 and Tuttosport claim there are no offers to purchase the striker, who turns 33 in December.

With that in mind, the only option is to negotiate a termination by mutual consent so that he can then become a free agent and decide his own future.

Juventus prepare player cull

Juventus want Gonzalo Higuain and Sami Khedira to terminate their contracts, while new coach Andrea Pirlo cuts many players from the squad.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Pirlo is ready to enact a cull of the old guard as he takes over from Maurizio Sarri.

The main concern is that Higuain and Khedira have no intention of terminating their contracts early, whereas Juventus are working to make that happen.

These two veterans will both want at least some of the outstanding salary as a golden handshake to leave the club, so it will be a costly operation.

Why Juventus could sacrifice Dybala

Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t just signed for his football skills, but also what he brought to the club, and Kaustubh Pandey warns Paulo Dybala can’t match that.

It has become common knowledge to many that Juventus could sell Cristiano Ronaldo or Paulo Dybala this summer. This is a case of moving on one of the best players of this generation or selling perhaps their best performer in the 2019-20 season. That is always going to be easier said than done.
