ADL: 'Told you Higuain worth €94m'

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis warns “over-rated” Nikola Maksimovic and points to Gonzalo Higuain’s €94m clause.

The patron spoke to the media after last night’s 3-1 win over Sassuolo, which keeps them at the top of the Serie A table.

“It is nice to be four points clear of Inter,” smiled De Laurentiis.

Sarri: 'Higuain can do better'

Maurizio Sarri celebrated the comeback against Sassuolo, but told Gonzalo Higuain and Napoli “they can do even better.”

The Partenopei remain top of the table and in all competition this season have won 20 games, drawn five and lost only two, scoring 66 goals with 19 conceded.

Yet this 3-1 victory started off in the worst possible way, as Sassuolo converted a penalty after three minutes.

‘Juventus want to make history’

Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci wants to make history “by winning a fifth-consecutive Scudetto”.

The Bianconeri are back in the title fight after a poor start to the season, and are currently joint-second just two points behind Napoli.

The Turin giants haven’t won five Scudetti in a row since the 1930s, and the centre-back is aiming to match that achievement.

“The League will be wide open until the end,” Bonucci predicted on Premium Sport.

Bayern: 'Napoli won't sell Higuain'

Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admits “we like Gonzalo Higuain, but I doubt Napoli will sell.”

The Argentina international has scored 18 goals in just 19 Serie A games this season, taking the Partenopei to the top of the table.

“Clearly Higuain is a player we like, he is doing very well and I think he’ll be happy with that,” Rummenigge told reporters during a Financial Fair Play event in Milan.

“Despite that, I doubt my friend Aurelio De Laurentiis will sell.”

Sarri: 'Higuain at 60 per cent'

Maurizio Sarri warns Winter Champions Napoli that “Juventus are Scudetto favourites” and Gonzalo Higuain “is only at 60 per cent.”

The Partenopei took advantage of shock home defeats by Inter and Fiorentina to go top of the table at the midway stage, making them Campione d’Inverno for the first time since 1989-90.

“It was a game that held many difficulties,” he told Mediaset Premium of the 5-1 victory at Frosinone.

Higuain: 'We want the Scudetto'

Gonzalo Higuain insists Napoli must not get too excited about being Winter Champions. “Being there in May is what counts.”

The Partenopei crushed Frosinone 5-1 and took advantage of surprise home defeats by Inter and Fiorentina to secure the mid-season crown, something they hadn’t achieved since 1989-90.

“It means nothing to be Winter Champions, it’s not worth anything,” Higuain told Sky Sport Italia.

Bayern Munich after Napoli's Higuain

Bayern Munich are reportedly after star striker Gonzalo Higuain, but much depends on Napoli's results this year.

Verratti: ‘Higuain can bring Scudetto’

PSG midfielder Marco Verratti believes Napoli have the best player and youngster in Serie A in Gonzalo Higuain and Lorenzo Insigne.

Italy international Verratti believes that Higuain has the ability to lead Maurizio Sarri’s side to the title this season.

“Insigne is the best young player in Serie A, while Higuain is definitely the best player in the league,” he said to Sky Italia.
