Higuain: 'Long way to go'

Gonzalo Higuain warned “there’s a long way to go” before Napoli can win the Scudetto, but glad they beat leaders Fiorentina.

Lorenzo Insigne and Pipita were on target around a Nikola Kalinic goal in the 2-1 victory.

“It was an important clash for the table and so we could continue the growth process,” Higuain told Sky Sport Italia.

“Fiorentina are a great team and in order to win we had to give everything. We did it and now we are happy.

Sarri: 'Fiorentina stars, not Napoli'

Maurizio Sarri insists “Fiorentina should win the Scudetto, not Napoli” and still considers Juventus the favourites.

Kalinic: 'Napoli wanted me'

Nikola Kalinic confirms “Napoli were interested in me,” but he chose Fiorentina and can’t wait to face Gonzalo Higuain.

Gonzalo Rodriguez wants Fiorentina to “enjoy the moment” as Serie A leaders, but won’t be satisfied with third place.

The Viola had not been on their own in top spot since 1999 and visit Napoli on Sunday afternoon, but can they win the Scudetto?

Callejon: ‘Scudetto an objective’

Jose Callejon admits “the Scudetto is an objective” for Napoli this season “but let’s take it slowly.”

The Partenopei’s recent results have led to many tipping them as potential title winners, having beaten Milan, Lazio and Juventus in recent weeks, and the Spaniard is not ruling anything out.

“The Scudetto is an objective,” Callejon acknowledged in an interview with Sky.

Hoedt: 'Marking Higuain was formative'

Lazio defender Wesley Hoedt called marking Napoli hitman Gonzalo Higuain “a formative experience.”

The Aquile were torn apart 5-0 at the Stadio San Paolo in their Serie A humiliation.

“I learned more from one match than the other six put together,” Hoedt told Dutch media while on international duty.

“Higuain is a great striker with so much experience and with him on the field anything can happen.
