Report: Juve in Milik talks

Juventus are allegedly in contact with Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik’s representatives, but the proposed deal could mean Gonzalo Higuain remains in Turin.

Higuain returned to the Allianz Stadium last summer and has been an important asset under coach Maurizio Sarri, but the Argentine’s future seems to be elsewhere, linking him with a move back to River Plate this summer.

Only Higuain and Rabiot abroad for Juve

Juventus have almost all their players back in Turin after going overseas, staying in quarantine, but Gonzalo Higuain and Adrien Rabiot are still abroad.

Training began this week at the Continassa ground, as players had tests for COVID-19 and could then run on the pitches, albeit keeping to social distancing guidelines.

However, those who had been abroad during the lockdown and only recently returned cannot take part, as they must first self-isolate at home for 14 days.

Juventus delayed by quarantine

As the training grounds reopen around Serie A, Juventus might regret allowing their stars to stay abroad for so long, as Cristiano Ronaldo for example needs a 14-day quarantine.

Ronaldo arrived back in Turin last night with a private jet, having been in Madeira since the lockdown began in early March.

As he has just come back from Portugal, he must stay inside his Turin house for 14 days in quarantine with his family.

Higuain gives River Plate lesson

Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain fuelled rumours of a return to River Plate after he held a videoconference lesson for their youth team players.

The forward flew back to Argentina the moment his quarantine period ended so that he could be close to his mother, who is dealing with cancer.

This situation and the uncertainty over the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe has prompted reports Pipita is trying to remain in South America, potentially with a transfer to his first club River Plate.

Higuain: 'Almost quit football'

Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain says he was ready to quit football after his World Cup Final miss in 2014, but ‘my mother wouldn’t let me’.

“I’ve always regretted locking myself away and not going outside, afraid of what people might say,” he told Marca.
