Juve 'want €18m for Higuain'

Juventus have reportedly slapped an €18m price tag on Gonzalo Higuain, who is being pursued by River Plate and clubs in England.

Higuain and River have been vocal in their admiration for one another throughout the coronavirus lockdown, but the Argentine side could be facing competition from Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Magpies and Wolves call Higuain

Newcastle United and Wolves are interested in taking Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain back to the Premier League.

According to The Sunday Express, this could be another opportunity to prove himself in England after the disappointing six-month Chelsea loan spell.

Multiple reports are confident Higuain will not be at Juventus next season, but his father brushed off River Plate links, insisting he would remain in Europe for a little while longer.

Higuain: 'Hard for Lautaro to reject Barca'

Gonzalo Higuain would not be surprised if Lautaro Martinez left Inter this summer. ‘It’s hard to say no when Barcelona and Leo Messi call.’

The Juventus forward spoke to Libero about the current form of Argentina international strikers in Europe, so naturally the discussion moved on to Inter hitman Lautaro Martinez.

“It’s a complicated situation, as for example when I was 18 years old and Real Madrid came looking, I didn’t say ‘no thanks.’ You just don’t know what can happen,” said Higuain.

Milik now for Juve, Haaland later?

Tuttosport claim Juventus want Arkadiusz Milik from Napoli this summer, with a plan to purchase Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund a year later, but Real Madrid are there too.

The Bianconeri are seeking reinforcements in attack, with Gonzalo Higuain widely expected to move on.

Milik has emerged as the favourite, as he already worked with coach Maurizio Sarri at Napoli and his contract at the Stadio San Paolo expires next summer.

Higuain makes River revelation

Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain admits he would like to end his career with Marcelo Gallardo’s River Plate, who are ‘very exciting. They have everything.’

Higuain is now back in Turin but has only one year left on his contract with Juve and spent the first phase of the coronavirus pandemic in Argentina, even holding a web seminar for River’s youth players.

Juventus all-clear of COVID-19

Juventus confirm all the COVID-19 tests came back negative, so it’s expected Gonzalo Higuain and Adrien Rabiot will return to training tomorrow.

The club released a statement this afternoon, updating fans on the coronavirus situation within the squad.

“For several days now, the Juventus players have been carrying out individual training sessions in small groups, all whilst keeping their distance.

Higuain to reunite with brother in DC?

Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain has been linked with a move to the MLS and a possible reunion with his brother, Federico, at DC United.

The MLS club could, according to Calciomercato.com be looking for a new star player since Wayne Rooney moved back to England as a player-coach at Derby County.

The Argentine attacker has returned to Turin after spending the quarantine period in South America with his family but doesn’t appear to be part of the plans at Allianz Stadium.

Double swabs for Higuain and Rabiot?

Juventus are looking at Milan for inspiration regarding their returning stars Adrien Rabiot and Gonzalo Higuain, currently in quarantine.

The club from Lombardy accelerated the quarantine period for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who returned to Italy after two months in Sweden due to the lockdown.

Thanks to a double negative, Ibra was awarded an exemption from the Lombardy Health Protection Company and ended the quarantine after only four days.

Higuain to follow Ibrahimovic tests?

Gonzalo Higuain could be allowed to start training with Juventus on Monday if using the same COVID-19 testing system that Milan adopted for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The striker was the last foreign player to return to Italy, having been given extra time due to family issues in Argentina.

He flew back on Friday and should go into a 15-day quarantine at his home in Turin.

However, Tuttosport claim Juve are hoping to follow the example set by Milan with Ibrahimovic to cut that down dramatically.

Higuain finally back for Juve

Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain has finally returned to Italy after spending almost two months in his native Argentina.

Higuain was spotted landing in Turin this afternoon, and he will soon undergo medical tests at J Medical before observing two weeks in self-isolation.

His spell in Argentina sparked speculation about his future at Juve, with the 32-year-old said to be particularly concerned by the coronavirus pandemic as he tended for his sick mother.
