Angelici: 'Cagliari need Nandez effort'

President Daniel Angelici said Boca Juniors “turned down an offer for Nahitan Nandez and he wants to go to Italy, but Cagliari must make an effort.”

The midfielder just turned 23 and already has 20 senior caps for Uruguay under his belt.

“We turned down an offer for Nandez, while now a proposal has arrived to pay his release clause, but with a formula that is ridiculous,” Angelici told Radio La Red.

Boca tip Inter for Almendra

Boca Juniors President Daniel Angelici reveals “Inter are prepared to leave Agustin Almendra here for two years,” giving them the upper hand over Napoli.

The midfielder turns 19 next month and has only recently broken into the Boca first team.

“Almendra has a €30m release clause and has just signed a new contract, so we’re waiting for him to return from the Under-20 South American competition,” Angelici told Radio La Red.

Inter challenge Napoli for Almendra

Reports in Argentina suggest Inter are trying to intercept Napoli talks for Boca Juniors midfielder Agustin Almendra.

According to newspaper Clarin, the Nerazzurri put forward a similar proposal, but would be prepared to leave him on loan at Boca until January 2020.

On the other hand, Napoli would let the 18-year-old remain only until June.

However, Sportitalia insist the player has chosen Napoli and reiterated his decision in a meeting with Boca Juniors.

Almendra: 'No Napoli talks'

Augustin Almendra’s agent has denied reports of an imminent transfer to Napoli. “Boca Juniors won’t sell him in January.”

Sportitalia had claimed on Saturday that a deal was practically done for the 18-year-old midfielder, worth in the region of €10m.

Tuttonapoli contacted agent Adrian Ruoco and he had a very different take on the situation.

“There’s nothing concrete about it. Boca, as of now, do not want to sell. As far as I know, this is just newspaper gossip.

Gustavo Gomez heading to Boca

Milan defender Gustavo Gomez is finally on the verge of a transfer to Boca Juniors for €6m plus 20 per cent sell-on fee.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the deal is at last done and should be completed over the next few days.

Boca have been in talks since January, but haggled over the price-tag and it was abandoned.

The Paraguay international was purchased from Lanus in 2016, but made just 20 competitive appearances for the Rossoneri.

He played just one game throughout all of last season, for 10 minutes in the Europa League.

Boca abandon Gustavo Gomez

Boca Juniors are reportedly abandoning negotiations with Milan for Gustavo Gomez after the defender demanded more money.

The talks have been dragging on for many months and a breakthrough was expected this summer.

However, TyC Sports in Argentina claim that Gomez requested better personal terms than were being offered to him.

This irritated Boca President Daniel Angelici, who then called off his planned trip to Italy.

The 25-year-old Paraguay international was signed in the summer of 2016 for €8.5m, but made no impact at Milan.
