Bonucci considering three options

It’s not only Paris Saint-Germain that want Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci, as Manchester City and New York City FC are also courting the Italy international.

According to Sportitalia journalist Alfredo Pedullà, three foreign teams have enquired about his availability, but so far with no genuine negotiations.

Pirlo raises €214,000 for charity

Andrea Pirlo raised over €214,000 for charity during his ‘La Notte del Maestro’ testimonial.

The former Inter, Brescia, Milan, Juventus and New York City FC midfielder welcomed many of his old teammates and football friends to San Siro.

This event helped raise €214,000 to be split between two charity foundations.

They’ll go to the Fondazione Vialli e Mauro and the Il Volo di Pietro Onlus charities to build hospital wings in Brescia and Kenya.

Pirlo on the past and the future

Andrea Pirlo confirmed his testimonial will be at San Siro on May 21, but also commented on the Nazionale, Scudetto race, Gigi Buffon and Milan.

The Maestro stopped playing for New York City FC last year, but will officially call it a day in Milan, a choice of venue that raised quite a few questions among Rossoneri and Juventus supporters.

“I want to see the same spirit as always, so we can have fun and be together with our families to enjoy the occasion,” said Pirlo in a Press conference.

Pirlo sets San Siro testimonial

Andrea Pirlo will play his final match at San Siro on May 21 to raise money for charity. “It’s the chance to share a special evening doing what we love most.”

The former Brescia, Inter, Reggina, Milan, Juventus and New York City FC midfielder decided to hang up his boots at the end of 2017.

He’ll pull them on one last time at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan for a charity event.

Pirlo to play in Peru?

Andrea Pirlo could play one more game in his career, as Universitario de Deportes in Peru confirm their offer to the Italy legend.

The midfielder hung up his boots at the age of 38 after the end of his contract with New York City FC last month.

However, there may well be one final outing on to the playing turf in South America.

Universitario de Deportes announced their proposal to play Pirlo in the ‘Noche Crema’ – a special January event where they present the team and shirt for the new season.

Andrea Pirlo Day in New York

Mayor of New York Bill de Blasio has officially named December 6 as Andrea Pirlo Day. “I couldn’t be more grateful.”

The honour was bestowed upon the former New York City FC midfielder, who concluded his MLS and playing career last month.

“I couldn’t be more grateful and glad to be part of this celebration day,” wrote Pirlo on social media.

“New York is not only the wonderful city where I’ve decided to retire, this is the city where people work hard every day to reach their goals.

Pirlo: 'Italy must play 4-3-3'

Andrea Pirlo urged Giampiero Ventura to adopt a 4-3-3 formation for Italy’s World Cup play-off against Sweden after a 1-0 defeat.

The second leg is on Monday at San Siro and the Azzurri genuinely risk missing their first World Cup since 1958.

Pirlo: 'I could become a Coach'

Andrea Pirlo hasn’t decided yet whether he’ll become a Coach or a director in future. “We’ll see if there’s a spark.”

The midfielder has hung up his boots after the final match with New York City FC in MLS.

“I will remain in New York until the end of the year, to help with the move and get the kids ready, then I’ll return to Italy and start a new journey,” Pirlo told Sky Sport Italia.
