Spalletti: 'I didn't say anything bad'

Inter Coach Luciano Spalletti did not deny the quotes attributed to him by the Corriere della Sera. “I don’t think I said anything in particular.”

Among the comments he told fans when meeting outside a restaurant were that Roma President James Pallotta “made it clear to me he’d sell the best players. I went beyond our means.

Berlusconi: ‘Pallotta, be like me’

Silvio Berlusconi believes Roma President James Pallotta should follow his example - “a President must be like a father or big brother”.

The former Italian Prime Minister owned Milan until April last year, and he was asked about the way the Giallorossi are run today.

“I tried to be there before every match to encourage the team,” Berlusconi explained on Radio Radio.

Pallotta: 'Comments misinterpreted'

Roma President Jim Pallotta insists his words were “deliberately misinterpreted” by the media after ultras staged protests.

The patron had spoken at the Leaders in Sport congress in London this week and some of his comments infuriated the supporters, most notably with regards to security and asking the police why they “don’t just arrest” the miscreants.

Roma fans turn on Pallotta

Roma ultras aimed a series of insulting banners and letters at President James Pallotta, insisting “we don’t want the new” Stadio Della Roma.

The patron finally got the all-clear to build the new arena and work is expected to begin this year, but not everyone is happy about it.

Pallotta spoke at the Leaders in Sport conference in London this week and some of his comments infuriated the fans.

Help Samson attend a Roma game

US-based Roma fan Samson Delgado was paralysed in an accident and now has the dream of seeing his beloved Giallorossi in person.

A long-term supporter of the Lupi, Samson was struck by a drunk driver five years ago and left paralysed from the chest down.

His dream now is to visit Rome and see the Giallorossi playing at the Stadio Olimpico in person.

They are halfway to their target of $5,000, so we decided to spread the word with our fellow Calcio supporters.

Pallotta: No January signings

James Pallotta admits it is unlikely that Roma will make any signings this month as “we have the team to compete with Napoli and Juventus”.

Two defeats in three have seen Roma tumble out of title contention in Serie A, but Pallotta disagreed with Eusebio Di Francesco's claim that the Giallorossi were not ready to compete for the Scudetto.

‘Roma stadium the new Colosseum’

Roma President James Pallotta says the Stadio della Roma will be “the new Colosseum” and admits “until five years ago I thought football was a horrible sport”.

The Giallorossi hope to finally start construction on their new ground this year, having been given approval by the city after years of delays.

“It will be the new Colosseum,” Pallotta said at today’s Leaders In Sport conference in London.

Pallotta: 'Welcome to Stadio della Roma'

Roma President Jim Pallotta wrote an open letter to fans after the approval of the Stadio della Roma project. “Welcome to your new home.”

The plans have been in progress since the moment he took over the club, but after several years of delays, rejections and adjustments, it was given the go-ahead to start work in 2018.

“I was alone when I got the call to tell me it had been approved,” wrote Pallotta in the Corriere dello Sport newspaper.

Roma President hails ‘pivotal day’

James Pallotta has hailed confirmation of Roma’s new stadium as a ‘pivotal’ moment for the club.
