Pallotta backs Trump

Roma President James Pallotta is reported to have said he “always preferred” Donald Trump for the American Presidency.

The businessman won a shock victory in last night’s election, beating Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Trump has been condemned for his comments on women, Mexicans and Muslims, but it appears the Giallorossi patron is a supporter.

“I think Trump will do much better than you think,” Il Messaggero quotes American owner Pallotta as saying.

“I always preferred him.”

The Giallorossi have submitted plans to build a stadium of their own, and hope to break ground in March of next year.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Pallotta and Franco Baldini have flown to the UK for meetings with potential investors from the Far East.

The pair took in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Basel at the Emirates Stadium last night, but the main reason for their visit is to try and secure extra funding for the ‘Stadio della Roma’.
