Lotito & Pallotta make peace

Lazio President Claudio Lotito and his Roma counterpart James Pallotta have finally made peace, ending a long-running feud.

Corriere dello Sport details how the pair met in a restaurant last Tuesday in front of several witnesses and spoke to one another amicably for a few minutes, before shaking hands.

“It was a nice and quick conversation, Lotito was quiet and there was no tension,” Pallotta told the newspaper.

“We spoke in English and Claudio understood everything.”

Pallotta: ‘No reason to deny stadium’

Roma President James Pallotta insists there’s “no rational reason” for the new stadium project to be rejected.

The Giallorossi are planning to build a new ground, but need permission from the Lazio region before construction can begin.

Talks have been taking place yesterday and today, and the American patron is confident that the Stadio della Roma will get the go-ahead.

“We talked about the project in detail,” Pallotta told reporters outside today’s summit.

Pallotta: ‘Roma stadium in 2019’

Roma President James Pallotta is “very, very confident” over the new stadium, and hopes to open it in 2019.

The American had a meeting with President of the Lazio region Nicola Zingaretti, and and believes there has been progress toward breaking ground on the Stadio della Roma.

“I want to thank President Zingaretti, as I expected it was a good meeting,” Pallotta told reporters outside the summit.

“Rome as a city and Roma as a team needs something like this. There will be an open and transparent process as we promised.

Ferrero: 'Shaved head if Samp win!'

Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero pledged to shave his head if they beat Roma today, sniping at Leandro Castan and Antonio Cassano.

Roma President Jim Pallotta landed in Italy and discussed the new stadium, Umberto Gandini and the “stupid” goals conceded.

Official: Roma hire Gandini

As expected, Roma announced ex-Milan director Umberto Gandini is joining their staff to replace Italo Zanzi.

Gandini surprisingly walked away from the Rossoneri this week after 23 years at the club in various roles and explained his decision today.

“A.S. Roma S.p.A. have today announced that Umberto Gandini will become part of the club's management staff from 12 September 2016,” read a statement.
