Pallotta: 'Ref was disgusting'

James Pallotta is angry with the referee after Roma's defeat to Porto: 'He was disgusting, he ruined the match'.

While Luciano Spalletti and the players attempted to find explanations for the defeat, in particular the overabundance of red cards, the president blamed the ref.

Pallotta: ‘Stadium in March’

Roma President James Pallotta hopes to start work on the new stadium in March, and targets the Scudetto.

The Giallorossi are aiming to build a stadium of their own, but the project has been hit by delays and red tape.

“The new mayor has been great, we hope to break ground by March,” Pallotta told American radio outlet Sirius XM.

“It will then take 24-28 months.”

Pallotta was then asked about the targets for the season, and the American hopes Luciano Spalletti can guide the Lupi to the Scudetto.

Pallotta: 'Roma are challenging!'

President James Pallotta admitted managing Roma is 'way more challenging' than he expected: 'But the project is coming along'.

Roma stadium meets political resistance

Roma's project for a new stadium is meeting resistance by the city's vice-mayor, who is opposed to 'real estate speculation'.

The Giallorossi submitted their plans for a property stadium at the end of April, and the go-ahead now has to be approved by the city council.

Questions have been raised as to what will happen with the project under the city's new mayor Virginia Raggi, the first to be elected from the anti-establishment party Movimento 5 Stelle.

‘When Roma have our stadium…’

Roma President James Pallotta says the gap to Juventus will reduce “when we have our stadium”.

The Bianconeri signed Miralem Pjanic from the Lupi this summer, as well as taking Medhi Benatia, Marko Pjaca and, imminently, Gonzalo Higuain.

“It seems that sometimes people just don’t want to understand: Juventus have more revenue than us, they can spend more money than us,” Pallotta pointed out in an interview with Sky.
