Official: CEO Zanzi quits Roma

Roma announced that CEO Italo Zanzi has resigned from the Board of Directors “to pursue other opportunities.”

Zanzi had been at the helm since 2013 and his resignation comes into effect from June 30.

“Three and a half years ago I had the honour of becoming CEO of AS Roma,” said Zanzi.

“Now, with the club well-positioned, I have made the decision to pursue new endeavors.

'Stadium gives Roma control'

Pallotta hails ‘important day’

James Pallotta hailed Monday as an “important day” for Roma after they deposited their stadium plan to the local council.

The Lazio Region finally received the elusive document outlining Roma’s intentions of building a new venue, and Pallotta was delighted his club had taken the long-awaited step.

“This is an important day for both the Stadio della Roma and Tor di Valle,” the President told reporters, Tuttomercatoweb reports.

Roma deposit stadium plan

Roma have deposited the final project of the property stadium with the Lazio Region, as officially confirmed by the authorities.

The Giallorossi have faced numerous set-backs and difficulties in their attempts to build a stadium of their own, but they have reached the point where the plan is officially registered with the region.

The project now passes in the hands of the regional authorities, who must approve the last phase before it can kick off.

Spalletti keeps Sabatini, Iturbe

Luciano Spalletti allegedly convinced President James Pallotta to keep Walter Sabatini at Roma, whilst requesting Juan Iturbe.

The sporting director was believed to have one foot out of the door already, with rumours suggesting that he was in talks with Bologna for a new job.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, however, Sabatini's future is still with the Giallorossi, largely thanks to Spalletti.

Totti announcement in June?

Francesco Totti’s Roma renewal is done, but an official announcement may have to wait until June.

It has been confirmed by the club that Er Pupone will sign a one-year extension, while Coach Luciano Spalletti says only “details” are missing.

The captain’s deal had been due to expire on June 30, and there was contention over whether he’d be offered a new playing contract.

Report: Totti contract finalised
There are reports Roma have agreed terms with Francesco Totti for a contract renewal, including marketing.
 
The captain has been considering the latest proposal on the table, which is to play on for one more season and then join the club staff.
 
According to Mediaset Premium, the final terms have been worked out and the sticking point was resolved by giving Totti a percentage of the marketing rights for his farewell match.

Roma find stadium agreement

Roma officially have an agreement with Goldman Sachs that will cover the stadium's pre-development expenses.

The final price for the Giallorossi's new home will probably be in the hundreds of millions, but for the moment President James Pallotta is focused on covering the costs prior to the actual building process.

According to an official statement released today on the club's site, Roma now have an agreement with Goldman Sachs, who will provide an investment of €30m to cover for the stadium's expenses.

Pallotta: ‘Waiting for Totti’

President James Pallotta confirms Roma have offered Francesco Totti a new deal - “I don't know why he hasn't already accepted”.

Director Mauro Baldissoni announced before yesterday’s game at Milan that the iconic captain had been offered a new deal, with is contract set to expire at the end of the season.

“The contract was offered to him more than a week ago,” Pallotta told Il Tempo.
