Pallotta: ‘Roma can qualify’

Roma President James Pallotta insists “I believe in qualification” against Real Madrid.

The Giallorossi trail 2-0 after the first leg in Italy, but the American patron believes they can turn it around in the Bernabeu tomorrow night.

“I believe in qualification,” Pallotta told Ansa, holding up three fingers to indicate he believes the Lupi can win 3-0.

“That’s what we need right?”

Roma outline market strategy

Roma have blocked Radja Nainggolan and Miralem Pjanic but may sell several of their youngsters.

President James Pallotta's visit to the capital allowed him to prepare the strategy for next season's transfer market together with Coach Luciano Spalletti.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Pallotta established that key figures such as Nainggolan and Pjanic, alongside Mohamed Salah and Kostas Manolas, will be kept off the market.

Spalletti: 'My Totti hope'

Luciano Spalletti admits it’d be better if Roma President James Pallotta “was closer” and discussed Francesco Totti’s future.

The Coach sat down with Roma TV to go over a series of photographs from his time with the club.

“Totti is the history of Roma, the best Italian player in the post-war era. I learned so much from him. His moves have always been taken as an example to show young players.

Pallotta: 'Totti has to decide'

Roma President James Pallotta warned Francesco Totti “has to think about what he wants to do. It’s his decision.”

The captain turns 40 in September and the Giallorossi have no intention of offering him a contract extension as a player, wanting him to retire and join the Board of Directors.

“He is the one who has to think about it,” Pallotta told reporters as he left a lunch meeting.

“I spent a lot of time with him this week. Francesco has to think about what he wants to do.

Roma: Totti-Pallotta to meet

Roma President James Pallotta and Captain Francesco Totti could meet before Sunday to discuss a contract renewal.

The Giallorossi icon is frustrated about his lack of playing time and may announce his retirement if he is not guaranteed a place in the squad.
