‘Roma on track for Scudetto’

James Pallotta believes Roma are ‘on the right track for the Scudetto’ under his presidency.

However, the Giallorossi owner expressed his ‘frustration’ at problems over a new stadium and outlined his philosophy for the club.

“Signing players like Messi and Ronaldo? It’s not just an argument for Roma, there are few teams that could manage that and then they aren’t the absolute recipe to success,” he said to Corriere dello Sport.

Pallotta: ‘Spalletti stays at Roma’

Luciano Spalletti ‘is and will remain the Coach of Roma’ following the Francesco Totti dispute, says President James Pallotta.

The Giallorossi boss has been at the centre of a public spat with club captain Francesco Totti recently, after dropping him for the squad for the 5-0 win over Palermo on Sunday.

Today the club’s owner reassured Spalletti that he isn’t going anywhere and threw in a criticism of his predecessor Rudi Garcia: “We threw too much away at the start of the season.”

Pallotta ‘will sit down with Totti’

Roma President James Pallotta says he will ‘sit down with Francesco Totti’ to make a decision on his future that will be for ‘the good of the team’.

The Giallorossi captain was dropped for Sunday’s 5-0 win over Palermo after a television interview in which he complained about a lack of playing time under Luciano Spalletti.

“I didn’t just have one reaction to Totti’s interview, let’s say I had two,” Pallotta said to Corriere dello Sport.

Roma President James Pallotta criticises the referee for ‘making the wrong call’ and not awarding a penalty against Real Madrid.

Pallotta also voiced his disappointment with the decision, but underlined that he’s ‘proud of the guys’ for their overall performance.
