Roma ultras announce protest

Roma ultras announced a protest against the club during today’s Genoa game, blaming “years of lies and fake proclamations. We don’t expect victories, but clarity and respect.”

The protest had started late last night, with dozens of banners – some even reporting over a hundred – appearing simultaneously all over the city with the same message: ‘Pallotta vattene’ – Pallotta Leave.

Roma ultras stage Pallotta protest

Roma ultras are seemingly beginning an orchestrated campaign against President James Pallotta with dozens of messages around the city.

The same banner appeared this evening all over the Italian Capital with the message: ‘Pallotta vattene’ – Pallotta leave.

The fact that so many were spread out so far and all on the same evening suggests the various ultras groups have organised a campaign to get the patron out of the club.

Monchi in Boston next week?

Roma sporting director Monchi is expected to fly to Boston next week to meet with owner James Pallotta.

The Giallorossi have had a difficult start to the season, but Monchi publicly backed Coach Eusebio Di Francesco yesterday.

"Unfortunately I have talked about this too many times: the position of the club has not changed and our confidence is the same,” the Spaniard told the club’s official website.

Pallotta: ‘Roma not for sale’

James Pallotta dismisses rumours he could sell Roma to an Arab investor for €800m as “very fake news”.

Libero reported this morning that the American owner had been in talks with a potential buyer since the beginning of October, and had named his price as €800m.

The newspaper claimed the investor was linked to Saudi crown prince Mohammad Bin Salman Al Saud, with talks stalling after the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Totti talking to Conte for Roma?

Roma are using Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi to lay the groundwork in talks with Antonio Conte to replace Eusebio Di Francesco, it’s reported.

Today the club backed Di Francesco despite recent poor results, but it’s not clear how much longer they’ll continue to support him.

It’s widely believed President Jim Pallotta wants to bring in Conte, rather than options such as Paulo Sousa and Vincenzo Montella.

'EDF not responsible for Roma results'

James Pallotta insists Eusebio Di Francesco’s position ‘has always been safe’ and that the Coach ‘isn’t responsible for Roma’s results this season’.

Di Francesco’s reign at Roma has been the subject of much speculation after several poor results, but Pallotta suggested the players were at fault as the former Sassuolo boss ‘doesn’t go out on the field’.

“Eusebio’s position has always been safe,” the President told Corriere dello Sport.

Pallotta: 'VAR was a joke'

Roma President Jim Pallotta called the lack of VAR intervention in the 2-2 draw with Inter “a joke. It’s a disgrace.”

Nicolò Zaniolo was tripped by Danilo D’Ambrosio just inside the penalty area, but the VAR officials didn’t alert Gianluca Rocchi to view it again.

Just 30 seconds later, Inter scored the opening goal with Keita Balde Diao.

“The first half was a joke. It’s a disgrace,” the patron told Pagine Romaniste.

Monchi walks if EDF goes?

It’s claimed Roma President James Pallotta is unhappy with Eusebio Di Francesco, but Monchi would walk if the Coach is sacked.

The Giallorossi have had a poor start to the season, and it was suggested this week that Di Francesco is under pressure.

The Lupi face Inter at the weekend, and a defeat would only pile more pressure on the tactician.

According to Il Messaggero, Pallotta has identified Di Francesco as the man responsible, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be sacked.
