Monaco join Kessie chase

Monaco are the latest club thought to be interested in Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, after Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Kessie was continually linked with a departure in the summer, however Milan priced many clubs out of buying the Ivorian.

Since then, his performances have dipped, and recent actions haven't gone down well with the Milan hierarchy. Kessie showed up late to training ahead of the game against Juventus was dropped out of the squad entirely.

Cutrone: 'I am always ready'

Patrick Cutrone assured he is “always ready when called upon” by the Italy U-21s or Wolves, but he “remains a Milan fan.”

The Wolverhampton Wanderers striker scored a late brace in the Italy Under-21 side’s 3-0 win over Iceland this evening.

“I am very happy with the win, as we struggled a little at the start, but then came together and scored three good goals,” Cutrone told Tuttomercatoweb.

Napoli ask after Kessie

Napoli have approached Milan to ask about midfield outcast Franck Kessie, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Ivory Coast international was dropped to the bench, then left out of the squad entirely by coach Stefano Pioli.

He was said to be ‘not physically or mentally sharp’ enough to play for the Rossoneri at this time.

A January transfer is more than likely and he had until now been above all linked with a Premier League switch to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Milan want €35m for Kessie

Franck Kessie was dropped for Milan’s trip to Juventus and is reportedly on the market for €30-35m, with Wolves and Monaco interested.

The Ivory Coast international was not even included in the squad for tonight’s game in Turin, despite not being injured.

Coach Stefano Pioli made the decision after seeing he was not ‘sharp’ on a physical or psychological level in training.

There have also been reports Kessie turned up late to training, while his recent performances have been extremely sluggish.

Milan ready to sell Kessie?

Sport Mediaset is reporting Milan have placed Franck Kessie on the transfer list, with the Premier League his likeliest destination.

Kessie, who joined Milan in the summer of 2017 from Atalanta, is thought to be viewed as expendable by the Rossoneri hierarchy, for the right price.

As per Mediaset journalist Claudio Raimondi, the Diavolo are prepared to accept an offer in the region of €25m for the Ivorian.

Raimondi states that Wolverhampton Wanderers, who were interested in Kessie last summer, are still interested.

Wolves and West Ham eye Suso

Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United are reportedly preparing January swoops for Milan winger Suso.

The Spaniard has gone in a few short months from star man at San Siro to frustrating figure with no tactical versatility.

Fans are increasingly putting pressure on the club to sell him and there is a release clause in his contract worth €40m that is valid only for teams outside of Italy, but it is only available at certain periods of the season.

Early bird catches the Toro

Torino’s Europa League journey ends too early, in typical Italian fashion, and Vilizar Yakimov sees the late start of Serie A as the main reason.

There is something deeply wrong with the European performance of Italian teams at the early stage of the season in recent years.

Last year Atalanta were eliminated in the Europa League play-offs by an undoubtedly inferior FC Copenhagen side after missing a gazillion chances over two legs. In the not so distant past we’ve also seen Napoli, Roma, Lazio, Sampdoria and even the likes of Udinese and Chievo losing in the play-off round of the Champions League qualifiers against beatable opponents.

Mazzarri: 'Toro superior in Wolverhampton'

Walter Mazzarri insists “the statistics show Torino were superior on the night and did not deserve to lose” their Europa League play-off with Wolves.

The Granata already had a mountain to climb after a 3-2 first leg home defeat and also lost 2-1 at Molineux, as the Andrea Belotti equaliser lasted barely 60 seconds before falling behind again.
