Paolo Rossi’s son Alessandro has said the Italy legend left peacefully: 'We were all with him, he left surrounded by his loved ones.'
The 1982 World Cup winner died on Wednesday aged 64.
“He was fantastic father, very simple, humble, as you have known him,” his son Alessandro told reporters in Siena, in front of the hospital where Rossi died.
“He was fantastic in private life. He never said no to anyone, he was always available to help others. His greatest quality was altruism.”
