Jony scores on Lazio debut

New signing Jony Rodriguez scored on his debut, while Joaquin Correa bagged four as Lazio beat a local side 12-0 in today’s friendly.

The Biancocelesti were in action at their Auronzo di Cadore pre-season training camp against Top11 Radio Club.

Jony made his first appearance since the move from Malaga, coming off the bench in the second half and promptly finding the net with a penalty.

Correa was on song thanks to four goals, while Ciro Immobile and Andre Anderson scored a brace each.

Official: Lazio sign Chievo pair

Lazio have signed youngsters Sofian Kiyine and Angelo Ndrecka from Chievo on permanent bases.

The deals were confirmed in a statement on Lazio’s official website.

As expected, Kiyine has been sent on loan to the Aquile’s sister club Salernitana, who play in Serie B.

The 21-year-old midfielder made 25 appearances for Chievo last season and is a Morocco youth international with a Belgian passport.

He already played for Salernitana during the 2017-18 campaign.

Lazio agree Kiyine deal

Lazio have agreed a deal to sign Chievo midfielder Sofian Kiyine for a reported €4m.

Tuttomercatoweb writes Kiyine is currently undergoing a medical with Lazio.

The Moroccan is then expected to put pen to paper on a five-year contract, before being sent on loan to the Aquile’s sister club Salernitana, who play in Serie B.

The 21-year-old made 25 appearances for Chievo last season but could not help prevent their relegation to the second tier.

Man Utd €100m for Milinkovic-Savic

Manchester United are reportedly offering €80m for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but Lazio are demanding €100m for the midfielder.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the latest proposal from Old Trafford is in the region of €80m.

However, the asking price for the 24-year-old is still at €100m, lower than the €120m from last summer.

The Serbia international has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, Inter and Juventus.

He only recently extended his contract with Lazio to June 2023.

Radu: 'I apologise to Lazio'

Stefan Radu is back in the Lazio squad after putting the row behind him. “It was the worst period of my career, now this feels like my first day.”

The 32-year-old has been at the club for over a decade, since moving from Dinamo Bucharest in January 2008.

He had been left out of the pre-season training squad, reportedly due to a row with director of sport Igli Tare and several teammates, but was welcomed back to the camp today and held a brief Press conference.

Mihajlovic: 'Thank you to everyone'

Sinisa Mihajlovic wrote an open letter to thank everyone for their support after his leukaemia diagnosis. “I’ve run out of tears, now I am ready to fight. We’ll see each other soon.”

The 50-year-old Bologna Coach and former player revealed the news in an emotional Press conference at the weekend and messages poured in from all over the Calcio world.

Marseille and Besiktas target Durmisi

Olympique Marseille and Besiktas are battling for Lazio wing-back Riza Durmisi, who barely played after his €7.5m move from Real Betis.

The Danish international, of Albanian descent, made the move a year ago, but managed only 19 competitive appearances last season, most of them off the bench.

He had numerous injury problems to his back and thigh, so is expected to at least go out on loan this summer.

According to L’Equipe in France, Olympique Marseille are keeping a close eye on the situation and are ready to make their bid.

Lazio, Torino and Verona posted double-digits in preseason friendlies on Saturday, while Inter won on Antonio Conte’s unofficial debut.

Lazio thrashed Auronzo 18-0 at the home of their preseason camp, with Joaquin Correa and Luis Alberto bagging hat-tricks.

A group of Aquile fans also showed their support for Scudetto winner Sinisa Mihajlovic with the banner ‘Daje Sinisa’ following his leukaemia diagnosis.

Meanwhile, Torino got their Europa League qualifying preparations off to the perfect start with a 15-0 demolition of Merano.
