Serie B: Zauri quits Pescara

Coach Luciano Zauri has resigned from Serie B side Pescara and Gigi Di Biagio is expected to take over.

The tactician handed in his resignation today, on his 42nd birthday, after eight wins, five draws and nine defeats.

The Delfini were hoping for promotion, but have slipped down the standings lately with just one win from their last eight Serie B matches.

A 2-1 home defeat to Salernitana on Sunday proved decisive and Zauri tended his resignation.
