Official: Empoli appoint Bucchi

Empoli have officially appointed former Benevento and Sassuolo boss Cristian Bucchi as their new Coach.

Bucchi replaces Aurelio Andreazzoli, who left Empoli to take charge of Genoa last week.

The 42-year-old guided Benevento to a third-place finish in Serie B last season but parted with the Stregoni after they crashed out of the promotion playoffs to Cittadella at the semi-final stage.

Prior to his spell down south, the former Napoli striker managed the likes of Sassuolo, Perugia and Pescara.

Serie B: Pordenone play in Udine

Newly promoted Pordenone will officially play their Serie B games at Udinese’s Dacia Arena next season.

The club announced on their official website that they will be playing their home matches in Udine, in what will be their very first campaign in the second division.

Neroverdi President Mauro Lovisa confirmed to Sky Sport Italia in April that his side was hoping to use the Dacia Arena, as their Stadio Ottavio Bottecchia's 3,000 capacity isn’t big enough to host Serie B games.

Trapani promoted to Serie B

Trapani are back in Serie B after winning the promotion play-offs against Piacenza.

The Sicilians drew 0-0 in the first leg at the Stadio Garilli, then won the home fixture 2-0 tonight with M’Bala Nzola and Anthony Taugourdeau goals.

They are promoted into Serie B for the 2019-19 season, joined by Virtus Entella, Pisa, Juve Stabia and Pordenone.

It's a remarkable achievement, considering Trapani players haven't been paid for months and sued the club for financial mismanagement.

Nesta set for Frosinone job

Alessandro Nesta is rumoured to be the new Coach of recently-relegated Frosinone, beating Fabio Grosso to the job.

The 43-year-old has had two management jobs since his retirement in 2015, at NASL team Miami FC, then at Perugia in Serie B for the 2018-19 season.
