Alisson: 'Roma issue psychological'

Alisson Becker performed a series of stunning saves, but felt it was all for nothing as Roma were held 1-1 by Inter. “I think it’s a psychological issue.”

The Giallorossi got deeper and deeper as the game wore on until Matias Vecino equalised with a late header.

“When a goalkeeper puts in a good performance and makes several saves, but still concedes a goal, it’s the same as putting in a bad performance,” the Brazilian told Mediaset Premium.

PSG and Liverpool eye Alisson

Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool have enquired after Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker, hoping the Brazilian will be sold next season.

The Giallorossi have no intention of releasing their shot-stopper in January, but an exit over the summer is possible to balance the books.

Although the 25-year-old joined from Internacional in the summer of 2016 for €8m, this is effectively his first Serie A season, as he was second choice to Wojciech Szczesny last term.

He has kept 12 clean sheets in 25 competitive games between Serie A and the Champions League.

Report: Barca, PSG want Alisson

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keeping tabs on Roma goalkeeper Alisson.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool have also shown an interest, barely a year after taking winger Mohamed Salah from Roma.

PSG have long been linked with bringing in an established shot-stopper as Kevin Trapp and Alphonse Areola have struggled to cement first-choice status.

Barca’s goal, meanwhile, appears secure with Marc-Andre ter Stegen between the sticks, but they may be tempted to provide the German with more competition.

Did well to stop Giorgio Chiellini and Medhi Benatia from point blank range, but couldn’t keep out the third attempt. Was let down by his defenders on that set piece.

Alessandro Florenzi – 6

Alisson: Ready to beat Juve

Alisson believes Roma are ready to show they have what it takes to win Serie A with victory at Juventus on Saturday.

Roma can draw level with Juve in second place if they beat the Old Lady on their travels, and Alisson feels the Giallorossi owe the Scudetto to themselves.

“I have the chance to become an Italian citizen through my wife, who has Italian origins,” he told Il Messaggero.

“I have German heritage, but I can’t become an EU citizen with it. Once my wife takes Italian citizenship, I can too.
