Tevez donates salary to charity

Former Juventus star Carlos Tevez has vowed to donate the remaining six months of his Boca Juniors contract to charity.

Tevez’s deal was due to expire on June 30, but the 36-year-old is ready to stick with Boca for the time being, opting not to take a wage.

“I’ll stay with Boca, of course. I want another chance to play in the Copa Libertadores,” he told Radio la Red.

“I don’t know what will happen with the cup in light of the pandemic, but I want to play in it.

Galliani identifies Milan turning point

Adriano Galliani identifies the moment where it all went wrong for Milan, Carlos Tevez regrets and why Mino Raiola was generous on Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The former vice-president is now the CEO at Silvio Berlusconi’s other club, Monza, in Serie C.

He spoke to Top Calcio 24 about his time at San Siro and when the world beaters lost their way.

“Let’s not beat around the bush, Milan collapsed after the sale of the big stars,” said Galliani, referring to the 2012 departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva towards PSG.

De Rossi won the League with Boca

When former Juventus star Carlos Tevez helped Boca Juniors win the Superliga Argentina, he also handed Roma legend Daniele De Rossi his first league title.

De Rossi has already retired from football after a limited stint in Argentina, halted by injuries. But his appearances for Boca Juniors in the Argentinian League, helped him win his first league title in his career.

The World Cup winner had picked up two Coppa Italia with Roma and a Supercoppa Italiana, but now the former captain can finally brag about winning a League title during his career.

Russo: 'De Rossi has Boca contract'

Boca Juniors boss Miguel Angel Russo has reminded Daniele De Rossi that he has a contract with the club, despite talk of a return to Roma.

De Rossi has struggled with injuries since moving to Boca last summer, going on to make only six appearances for the Argentine side.

In the meantime, it has been reported incoming Roma owner Dan Friedkin would like to bring back the midfielder in a non-playing role.

Galliani: 'Ibra wanted Milan stay'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic “certainly did not want to leave Milan” in 2012 and Adriano Galliani also reveals he was close to partnering the Swede with Carlos Tevez.

The former LA Galaxy star agreed a return to San Siro on Friday, pending a medical on January 2, with a six-month deal plus option to extend for another season.

Lukaku: 'CR7 told me...'

Inter striker Romelu Lukaku says Cristiano Ronaldo warned him about how tough Serie A is. “He told me this is the hardest defensive League in the world.”

The Belgian gave an interview to the New York Times on Monday, in which he gave his opinion on playing in Serie A compared to the Premier League.

Lukaku scored 14 goals in 22 games for Inter in the first half of the season, 12 of which came in Serie A.

However, he told the newspaper: “He [Ronaldo] told me this is the hardest defensive League in the world.

Galliani: 'Tevez biggest Milan regret'

Former Milan CEO Adriano Galliani praised Leonardo and Gennaro Gattuso, while revealing Carlos Tevez is his biggest regret.

Galliani left the club after President Silvio Berlusconi sold it to Yonghong Li, ending over 30 years at San Siro.

The pair are back working together at Serie C outfit Monza.

“I’ve been busy in January, bringing in 16 new players and selling 14,” Galliani told Radio Deejay.

Paratici: ‘Allegri more flexible’

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici explains Antonio Conte wanted “functionality”, while Max Allegri is “more flexible, he doesn’t have one system”.

The director was a big part of the Bianconeri revival, taking care of transfers along with Giuseppe Marotta.

The latter has now moved to Inter, with his protege responsible for the sporting area in his absence.

“I think we were very well matched, complementary,” Paratici explained to Sky.

Tevez: Golf over football

Former Juventus and Argentina star Carlos Tevez admits ‘I don’t like football’ and would ‘watch golf’ over the Clasico.

Tevez will retire from football at the end of next year, when his Boca Juniors contract expires, and is currently working on a TV series, documenting his difficult upbringing in Buenos Aires. 

“Do I watch football? No, never. I don’t like football,” the veteran forward told Clarin.
