Capello criticises Zlatan: 'Sanremo is a contradiction'

Former Milan coach Fabio Capello has criticised Zlatan Ibrahimovic for his decision to attend Sanremo. ‘It’s a contradiction’.

The 39-year-old has been announced as a contributor during the prestigious Sanremo music festival and should attend every night from Tuesday March 2 to Saturday March 6.

Cassano gained 14 kilos at Madrid: 'I ate Nutella out of the jar'

Former Italy international Antonio Cassano revealed he gained 14 kilos in seven months at Real Madrid. ‘I was eating spoonfuls of Nutella’.

The former striker spoke on ‘Bobo TV’ and told about his experience with Real Madrid, revealing he was left out of the squad after a fight with Fabio Capello that made him gain 14 kilos.

Cassano arrived at Real Madrid in January 2006 and the following summer, his former coach at Roma, Capello, was hired as the new coach at Santiago Bernabeu.

Capello concerns over Kokorin move

Former Russia manager Fabio Capello has some concerns about Aleksandr Kokorin’s move to Fiorentina. ‘He lost his way.’

Spartak Moscow and the striker confirmed a deal was done, with only formalities remaining to complete the transfer.

“Kokorin has all the qualities a forward needs to do well, but he needs to get accustomed to a different football and world around him,” Capello told Radio Bruno.

Capello: ‘Roma more prepared than Lazio’

Fabio Capello explains why Roma are ‘more prepared than Lazio’ ahead of Friday’s Derby della Capitale.

Roma picked up a 2-2 draw against Inter on Sunday, while Lazio beat Parma 2-0 at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

“Roma seem more prepared, but derby clashes are always special,” Capello told Radio Rai.

“I like how Roma play, I’ve been saying it for long time. Against Inter, however, they switched off for 20-25 minutes and then played very well again in the final 20 minutes.

Capello bemused by Hasenhuttl tears

Fabio Capello was unimpressed by Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl’s show of emotion after beating Liverpool.

The coach dropped to his knees and burst into tears at the final whistle of the 1-0 victory against Jurgen Klopp’s reigning Premier League champions.

“I don’t understand this sort of thing,” mused former England manager Capello on Sky Sport Italia.

“He was working, a bit of emotion is fine in these situations, but this was completely over the top.

Capello: 'I would swap Dybala with Kane'

Former Milan, Roma and Juventus coach Fabio Capello said he would only swap Paulo Dybala with Tottenham forward Harry Kane.

Capello spent three years at Juventus between 2004 and 2007 but didn’t manage to repeat his previous success at Milan and Roma during his time in Turin.

The former coach is convinced Dybala will return to his best and said COVID-19 ‘is the explanation’ to his current problems.

The 1982 Italy World Cup here died on Wednesday, aged 64. Capello was a senior Juventus player when Rossi was a young, promising striker of the Bianconeri and coached the Primavera team of Milan when the former attacker joined the Diavoli in 1985.
