Alex Sandro to renew with Juventus

Multiple reports say Alex Sandro has agreed to renew his Juventus contract until 2023.

The Brazilian full-back has been in contract talks since the summer of 2017, when he turned down a move to Chelsea.

In the summer he was again linked with a Premier League switch, with Manchester United said to be interested.

Now though Goal Italia and Sky are both reporting that a deal has been reached on a new contract which will see Alex Sandro commit to the Bianconeri until 2023.

Bentancur in Juventus squad

Alex Sandro, Andrea Barzagli and Moise Kean are out of the Juventus squad to face Inter, but Rodrigo Bentancur is fit.

The Bianconeri welcome Luciano Spalletti’s men to Turin for the Derby d’Italia tomorrow night, with an 11 point gap currently separating the sides.

It was feared that Bentancur would miss out with a back injury, but the Uruguayan is in the 20-man squad.

Andrea Barzagli has a long-term injury and misses out, while Alex Sandro and Sami Khedira are not ready to return.

Juventus consider Marcelo swap

Rumours continue to swirl that Real Madrid and Juventus are planning a swap deal involving Marcelo and Alex Sandro.

The Bianconeri have been looking to renew Alex Sandro’s contract since the summer of 2017, but so far there has been no agreement.

According to Tuttosport, the Brazilian expects a contract of over €5m per season, but so far Juve haven’t been willing to offer that.

Part of the reason is that they are interested in Marcelo, who is still in regular contact with Cristiano Ronaldo.
