Serie A Week 38 dates & times

Serie A has confirmed that Atalanta, Inter, Milan and Roma will all play for Champions League qualification at the same time this Sunday.

In the interests of fairness, Atalanta-Sassuolo, Inter-Empoli, Roma-Parma and SPAL-Milan will all take place at 19:30 BST on May 26.

The same applies to games involving Empoli, Fiorentina and Genoa, all of whom will be fighting to stay up.

The FIGC has also confirmed that Bologna-Napoli will also be played at that time if the Rossoblu fail to get the point they need against Lazio on Monday.

'No Inzaghi-Juve talks, but...'

Simone Inzaghi’s assistant admits that while the Lazio Coach has not talked to Juventus, he finds their interest a ‘pleasure’.

Inzaghi is among the favourites to replace Max Allegri at Juve, and Massimiliano Farris took stock of the situation.

“It’s very simple. Simone has a profile that Juve like, and there were already links before,” Farris told Diretta Sport Viterbo.

“Today all the newspapers are putting Inzaghi in pole position. What I can tell you is that to date there’s been no contact.

Milan finally break down Frosinone

Milan were made to work very hard for the three points against Frosinone, as Gianluigi Donnarumma saved a penalty before Krzysztof Piatek and Suso goals.

The Rossoneri needed to take advantage of a kind fixture list, as Roma drew, Torino lost, while Inter and Atalanta had very difficult trips to Napoli and Juventus, so registered a third straight victory.

This result means they are mathematically qualified for at least a place in the Europa League.

Mihajlovic: 'Bologna want to win'

Bologna need a point against Lazio tomorrow night to stay up, but their Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is focused only on victory.

The Rossoblu are currently sitting in 14th position in the Serie A table on 40 points, three ahead of Genoa, who have now been leapfrogged by Empoli.

“Our goal is to achieve mathematical safety, after that we can think about finishing as high up the table as possible,” said Mihajlovic in his Press conference.

Bielsa on Roma radar

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has emerged as a candidate for the Roma job, claim Sky Sport Italia.

Eusebio Di Francesco was fired in March and Claudio Ranieri was only ever brought in as a caretaker until the end of the season.

Antonio Conte was approached, but turned down the Giallorossi, as he is now on the verge of signing for Inter.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, the latest favourite for the Stadio Olimpico role is Bielsa.

Juve: Inzaghi, Sarri or Mihajlovic

Simone Inzaghi is the hot favourite for the Juventus job and is not giving a Press conference today, while Sinisa Mihajlovic and Maurizio Sarri have also been contacted.

Juve announced Max Allegri’s departure and he will have his final game at the Juventus Stadium this evening against Atalanta.

The race is on to find his successor and it has quickly become apparent that Pep Guardiola, Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane would be very difficult to prise away from Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid.

Milan: Gattuso stays, Leonardo goes?

Milan could end up keeping Coach Gennaro Gattuso, claims the Corriere della Sera newspaper, but replacing Leonardo next season.

The Rossoneri are still in contention for the fourth and final Champions League spot, sitting three points behind Atalanta, but with a superior head-to-head record.

Gattuso has seemingly been hanging on by a thread for months, expecting the sack even if he grabbed fourth place, and yet the Corriere della Sera paints a different picture now.
