Arsenal and Newcastle target Strakosha

Arsenal and Newcastle United are interested in Albania international goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha, but Lazio want €40m for him.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the two Premier League sides are both tracking the 24-year-old shot-stopper.

He won’t be easy to prise away from the Biancocelesti, as they value Strakosha at €40m.

West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur were also linked in recent weeks, but he is under contract until June 2022 and came up through the Lazio youth academy.

Man Utd bid €75m for Milinkovic?

Reports continue to grow that Manchester United are in talks for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, offering €75m.

SportMediaset had already started on Friday that director Igli Tare had flown out to London for talks with the Old Trafford club.

Now Spanish paper Marca claims the initial offer is worth €75m and it’s one Lazio may very well accept.

The Serbia international is still only 24 years old and joined Lazio from KRC Genk in 2015 at a cost of €18m.

Man Utd start Milinkovic-Savic talks?

Lazio director Igli Tare is reportedly in London for talks, as Manchester United push for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Their interest in the Serbian goes back several years, but is back on the table yet again this summer.

According to Sport Mediaset, the Premier League giants approached Lazio with a proposal and Tare flew out to London for a meeting.

Paris Saint-Germain had already been in negotiations for SMS a few weeks ago, but seem to have taken a step back after the asking price was set at €80m.

Official: Lazio sign Vavro

Lazio have officially signed defender Denis Vavro from FC Copenhagen on a five-year contract.

Vavro’s transfer and the duration of his contract was confirmed in a statement on Lazio’s official website.

The Aquile are reported to have agreed a deal worth €10.5m, with €9m paid up front.

The 23-year-old helped Copenhagen eliminate Atalanta from the Europa League playoffs and win the Danish title last season.

Did Lazio tap up Adekanye?

Lazio could be the subject of a FIFA complaint after Liverpool reportedly ‘expressed concern’ over Bobby Adekanye’s transfer.

Adekanye completed a free transfer to Lazio earlier in the week, but the Evening Standard warns Liverpool have alerted FIFA to suspicions the 20-year-old was tapped up.

Vavro has Lazio medical

FC Copenhagen defender Denis Vavro should complete a €10.5m transfer to Lazio today after arriving for a medical.

Vavro landed in Rome on Thursday and will now undergo medical tests before signing a five-year contract.

The 23-year-old helped Copenhagen eliminate Atalanta from the Europa League playoffs and win the Danish title last season.

Also a target for Premier League side Watford, he has five caps and one goal for Slovakia.

Vavro set for Lazio medical

FC Copenhagen defender Denis Vavro is expected in Rome for his medical on Thursday after agreeing a €10m plus bonuses move to Lazio.

Multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia all have the same version of the story, which is that a deal is done and he’ll have his tests tomorrow.

The asking price was €12.5m, but it seems as if the Biancocelesti have negotiated that down to €10m plus €1.5m in add-ons.

Jony to have Lazio medical

Lazio are expecting Jony for a medical after reportedly striking a €2.5m deal with Malaga for the winger.

He turns 28 next week and plays on the left side of attack or midfield.

According to Calciomercato.com, the final details were worked out this evening and he could fly in for a medical over the next couple of days.

Despite rumours there was a clause in his contract allowing him to spend his last season on loan at any top flight club, it’s suggested Lazio will pay €2.5m to have Jony at the Olimpico.

Report: Lazio agree Vavro fee

Lazio have reportedly agreed a €12.5m fee with FC Copenhagen for Slovakia defender Denis Vavro.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Lazio will pay €11m up front for Vavro, with €1.5m to follow in bonuses.

However, the deal will only go through once Copenhagen secure a replacement and an agreement on payment method is found.
