Inzaghi: 'Lazio fatigue at Frosinone'

Simone Inzaghi admits Lazio “felt the fatigue of the Coppa Italia” quarter-final, as they scraped a 1-0 win away to Frosinone.

The Biancocelesti were visibly exhausted towards the end of the Serie A match, as they were pushed to extra time and penalties by Inter on Thursday evening.

“Lazio weren’t as sharp as usual, but it was to be expected we’d feel the fatigue of the Coppa Italia, especially in the second half,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

Coppa Italia SF dates announced

The Coppa Italia semi-final first legs will be played across February 26-27, it has been confirmed.

Lazio’s visit of Milan will be played on Tuesday February 26 at 20:00 GMT, before Fiorentina host Atalanta a day later at the same time.

As a result, the Rossoneri’s Serie A match against Empoli has been moved to Saturday February 23 at 17:00, having originally been scheduled for Sunday at 14:00.

It is a direct swap with Juventus’ trip to Bologna, which will now be played on Sunday and no longer the day before.

Four-match ban for Radu

Lazio defender Stefan Radu has been banned for four Coppa Italia games after his show of dissent to the referee against Inter on Thursday.

The FIGC’s sporting judiciary ruled on Friday that Radu was befitting of the punishment as ‘after the penalty was awarded to the opposing team, he vehemently contested the decision of the referee, shouting an disrespectful phrase.’
