Inzaghi: 'Lazio played better than Inter'

Simone Inzaghi maintains Lazio “played better” than Inter and emerge from San Siro “with heads held high, albeit with zero points.”

Jony Rodriguez was surprised by Danilo D’Ambrosio at the far post, but Samir Handanovic performed heroics to keep a clean sheet for the hosts.

“We did well in the first half and the only thing we really got wrong was not scoring one of our many chances,” Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia.

Conte: 'Game of two halves'

Antonio Conte saw “a game of two halves” and admits Samir Handanovic kept Inter afloat in their “deserved” 1-0 win over Lazio.

The Nerazzurri have a 100 per cent record after five rounds, as Danilo D’Ambrosio’s header proved the difference along with Samir Handanovic’s saves.

“This was a game of two halves,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

Zenga: 'Handanovic can surpass me'

Walter Zenga believes Samir Handanovic can “reach and surpass” his record for the most Inter games, as the goalkeeper reaches 300 today.

In this evening’s clash with Lazio at San Siro, Handanovic will represent the Nerazzurri for the 300th time in all competition.

It allows him to equal the tally set by Treble-winner Julio Cesar, putting him joint third in the all-time Inter goalkeeping charts behind Ivano Bordon’s 382 and Zenga on 473.

Immobile dropped for Inter game?

There are growing reports Lazio could bench Ciro Immobile in tonight’s big game against Inter as punishment for his row with Simone Inzaghi.

The striker was very clear and obvious in his protests after a substitution during Sunday’s 2-0 win over Parma, waving his arms and complaining all the way back to the bench.

Immobile did apologise in public after the incident and expected to be fined.
