Official: Donsah joins Cercle Brugge

Cercle Brugge have signed Bologna midfielder Godfred Donsah on a season-long loan with a reported €5m option to buy.

Donsah becomes the second Serie A-based midfielder to join the Belgian side this summer after Stephane Omeonga.

The 23-year-old has spent practically his entire career in Italy, starting out at the Palermo youth academy in January 2012.

He moved on to Verona and Cagliari, before joining Bologna for €7m in 2015.

Donsah set for Cercle Brugge

Bologna midfielder Godfred Donsah will fly out this evening to complete his move to Belgian club Cercle Brugge KSV.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the final details have been worked out and the 23-year-old has a flight booked to join agent Silvio Pagliari in Belgium.

He’ll undergo a medical on Saturday and put pen to paper on a loan deal with option to buy at the end of the season for €5m.

Ghana international Donsah spent practically his entire career in Italy, starting out at the Palermo youth academy in January 2012.

Official: Bologna sign Svanberg

Bologna have officially signed Malmö teenager Mattias Svanberg and tied Godfred Donsah to a new contract.

The Rossoblu are busy preparing their new season under Coach Pippo Inzaghi.

Today they announced the arrival of 19-year-old Swedish midfielder Svanberg, who already has seven caps for his country at Under-21 level.

He came up through the Malmö academy and in 2018 contributed three goals and four assists in 21 competitive games.

Agent: 'Donsah stays at Bologna'

Godfred Donsah “will certainly remain at Bologna, although we received offers from half of Serie A,” said the midfielder’s agent.

The 21-year-old had been on the verge of a transfer to Torino on loan with €7m obligation to buy.

There was also interest from Inter and Fiorentina for the Ghana international.

“For this transfer window, Donsah will certainly remain at Bologna,” agent Oliver Arthur told TuttoBolognaweb.it.

Cairo: ‘Donsah? We’ll see…’

Torino President Urbano Cairo suggests a deal for Bologna’s Godfred Donsah isn’t as close as first thought - “let’s see if it’s feasible”.

It was reported earlier today that the two clubs had agreed on a loan with a €7m obligation to buy, but the Granata might not have their man quite yet.

“Let's see if it's feasible,” Cairo told ANSA.

Donsah set for Torino

Torino reportedly have a deal with Bologna for Godfred Donsah, he’ll arrive on loan with a €7m obligation to buy.

New Coach Walter Mazzarri has asked the Granata to strengthen the midfield, and he’s a long-term admirer of the 21-year-old.

Now Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports that a deal is done, with Donsah ready to join on loan with a €7m option to buy which will become mandatory after a set number of appearances.

The midfielder will now undergo his medical before officially signing for Toro.

Toro in Donsah talks

Godfred Donsah’s agent has confirmed that he is in talks to take the Bologna midfielder to Torino.

Toro were interested in signing Donsah last summer but failed to agree a deal for the Ghanaian.

However, Oliver Athur confirmed to Calciomercato.com that a new set of negotiations had been opened.

“It’s true, we’re talking to Torino,” the representative told the website.

Inter want Baselli?

Inter are looking to take Daniele Baselli on loan from Torino with an option to buy, according to reports.

The Nerazzurri can’t spend this month without significant sales, as they have to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

That was seen yesterday when they took Lisandro Lopez on loan from Benfica, with the right to make it permanent for €9m in the summer.

Now SportMediaset is reporting that the Beneamata want to bring Baselli to San Siro on loan with an option to buy.

Donadoni: 'Bologna must believe'

Roberto Donadoni hopes Bologna’s 3-0 win over Sampdoria can be a valuable lesson. “The more we believe in ourselves, the better we’ll do.”
