Chiellini: ‘Dinamo are dangerous’

Giorgio Chiellini warns Juventus can’t afford to take Dinamo Zagreb lightly, citing Roma’s Champions League campaign last season.

The Giallorossi went 3-0 down to BATE Borisov last year, eventually losing 3-2, and though they qualified from the group, the defender wants his teammates to heed the lessons.

“It reminds me a lot of last year’s Champions League, with BATE Borisov-Roma,” Chiellini cautioned in the pre-match Press conference.

Pjanic: ‘Last 16 was the objective’

Miralem Pjanic dissects Roma’s route to the Champions League Last 16, and admits it was the minimum objective.

The Giallorossi were perhaps fortunate to qualify from Group E, taking just six points and ending the group with a -5 goal difference.

Luciano Spalletti's men take on Real Madrid tonight, trailing 2-0 from the first leg, and the Bosnian explained the story of their campaign so far.

“Reaching the last 16 was definitely our objective from the start,” Pjanic told UEFA’s official website.

Pallotta: ‘Fan boycott frustrating’

Roma President James Pallotta admits a fan boycott is “frustrating”, and insists they have “a top team”.

The Giallorossi qualified for the Last 16 of the Champions League last night, but were whistled after an uninspiring draw with BATE Borisov.

In addition, less than 30,000 fans attended the game, as Ultras continue a boycott over segregation of the Curva Sud.

“We played well yesterday, but the ball just wouldn’t go in,” Pallotta said in an interview with Premium Sport.

Alessandro Florenzi “would’ve preferred 70,000 fans jeering” rather than the 29,000 who turned up for Roma-BATE Borisov.
