Inter, Roma consider Zuniga

Camilo Zuniga's likely departure from Napoli kindles the interest of Roma and Inter, who have probed for the player.

Last week the player's agent established that the defender is not going to stay with his current team.

Among the teams to show interest was Fiorentina, but the player's salary may be considered a bit too high by the Gigliati.

Agent: ‘Zuniga will leave’

Juan Zuniga’s agent predicts his client will leave Napoli ‘in the coming days’, with offers in Italy and England.

The Colombian international made just six starts for the Partenopei last season, as he battled with knee trouble, and struggled to make an impact on his return.

“It’s very likely that the player will leave the club in the coming days,” Riccardo Calleri revealed in an interview with AS Colombia.

Napoli step up Salah pressure

Mohamed Salah’s lawyer said he “doesn’t want Napoli,” but they offer Chelsea €24m with Juan Camilo Zuniga to Fiorentina.

The Egypt international is determined to come back to Serie A after his loan spell in Florence and Roma are the absolute favourites.

However, Sky Sport Italia insist Napoli are not deterred by the comments of lawyer Ramy Abbas last night.

Samp up for Napoli's Zuniga

Juan Camilo Zuniga could be ready to leave Napoli, but remain in Serie A for Sampdoria.

The Colombia international has barely featured over the last season, yet starts regularly for his country in the Copa America.

According to Sport Mediaset, Zuniga is frustrated at the lack of playing time at the Stadio San Paolo and wants to move on.

Sampdoria are said to be interested, although they will only push forward for the right price.

Now 29, the right-back has been at Napoli since 2009 and his contract is due to expire in June 2017.

Agent: ‘Zuniga wants Napoli assurances’

Camilo Zuniga ‘wants to understand the intentions’ of Napoli, before committing his future to the club, according to his agent.

The Colombian full-back made just six Serie A starts last season, but his representative insists he was fit to play, and wants guarantees if he’s to stay at San Paolo.

“Camilo was available for the whole season” Riccardo Calleri told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“However [Coach Rafa] Benitez made his technical choices, and things went in a certain way.

Napoli squad for Wolfsburg

Napoli named their squad for the Europa League quarter-final with Wolfsburg, but Juan Camilo Zuniga is out.

The first leg is played in Germany on Thursday evening.

Zuniga pulled out after suffering from a left hamstring problem, but Ivan Strinic has recovered to make the trip.

Zuniga in Napoli squad

Juan Zuniga is again included in Napoli’s Europa League squad, as he continues his comeback from injury.

The Colombian wing-back has not started a game for Rafa Benitez’s side since October, but played eight minutes in the 3-1 first leg win over Dynamo Moscow.

Zuniga has been out since October after undergoing keyhole surgery on his knee, but could be in line to make his first start since in the trip to Russia.

Strinic passes Napoli medical

Ivan Strinic is on the verge of completing his Napoli switch after passing a medical today, but the club takes issue with reports over Juan Zuniga.

The Croatian, who will be moving in on a free transfer pending the expiry of his contract with Dnipro on January 1, flew into Italy and is reported by ANSA and Gianluca Di Marzio’s site as having passed medical tests at Castelvolturno.
