Roma ask Man Utd for Fred

New Roma Coach Paulo Fonseca has reportedly requested his ex-Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred from Manchester United.

The Old Trafford club paid a massive €60m to bring the Brazilian in from Shakhtar a year ago, but the results have been disappointing.

He managed only 25 competitive appearances, contributing one goal and one assist.

According to Il Romanista paper, that will allow Roma to get a deal for Fred on loan with option to buy.
