Agent: 'Jorginho waiting for Sarri move'

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho’s agent confirms if Maurizio Sarri had still been the coach, ‘perhaps he’d have joined Juventus, so we’re waiting to see where he goes’ next.

The Italy international worked well with Sarri at Empoli, Napoli and then Stamford Bridge, so naturally there were strong reports he’d reunite with his favourite coach in Turin as well.

However, Sarri was sacked after just one season in charge – despite winning the Serie A title – and is currently without a club.

Sarri and Mazzarri among Viola options

There are reports Beppe Iachini will be fired by Fiorentina, with options including Maurizio Sarri, Walter Mazzarri or even the return of Vincenzo Montella.

The Viola have struggled so far this season with two wins, a draw and three defeats.

According to Calciomercato.com, Iachini could well be axed regardless of the result against Parma this weekend.

The hot favourite to take over is Sarri, who lives near Florence and would relish working with Jose Callejon again after his time at Napoli.

Fiorentina consider Spalletti?

Fiorentina are being linked with former Inter coach Luciano Spalletti, as the pressure mounts on Beppe Iachini.

Fiorentina are 12th in the top tier after four games and haven’t won since Serie A Week 1 against Torino on September 26.

The 2-2 draw with Spezia last weekend has reportedly pushed the Viola hierarchy to consider replacing Iachini at the helm.

Il Corriere dello Sport claims Spalletti, who is tied to the Nerazzurri and guaranteed €400,000 a month until June, is wanted at the Artemio Franchi.
