Sarri: Chelsea style not to blame

Maurizio Sarri has insisted that his Chelsea tactics are not to blame for the club’s poor run of form. “The system is a false problem.”

Chelsea fans in numbers believe the side’s problems stem from Sarri regularly overlooking Emerson Palmieri and England starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi, as well as playing Jorginho over Ngolo Kante as their deep-lying midfielder and persisting with his ‘Sarri-ball’ ways.

However, the Guardian quoted the former Napoli boss as saying at a Press conference: “The system is a false problem.

Morata's lament

As Alvaro Morata faces his former club Juventus, Football Italia’s Chief Football Correspondent Richard Hall wonders what the Spaniard could've achieved.

“Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power”. This is a quote Alvaro Morata would be able to relate to, only the double interpretation of his career it offers up would trouble him. A player with height, speed, power, technique and ultimately supreme ability, there is a question as to why he is seen to have underachieved. How can this be when he has played for Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea and now Atletico Madrid?

Sarri: 'Napoli too emotional for me'

Maurizio Sarri said Chelsea are “unable to keep concentration” after a 2-1 Europa League win and it’d be “too emotional” to face Napoli at the San Paolo.

There was at least some respite for the Italian tactician, who was crushed 6-0 by Manchester City in the Premier League last week.

His team emerged from Malmo with a 2-1 victory in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 32, with goals from Ross Barkley and Olivier Giroud.
