Morata: ‘Sarri perfect for me’

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is full of praise for Coach Maurizio Sarri - “his system is perfect for me”.

The former Juventus man had a difficult first season in England, but has been back to his best in recent weeks.

“I was told that he’s a Coach who plays very well with the ball and loves tactical work, but he also has a good personal relationship with the players,” Morata revealed, speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Allegri wins another Panchina d'Oro

Max Allegri affirms ‘I hope to stay at Juventus for a long time’ after winning the Panchina d’Oro award for best Italian Coach of 2018.

Allegri beat off competition from Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri and Lazio’s Simone Inzaghi, who finished third and fourth respectively, while he becomes the Coach with the most Panchina d’Oro victories on four.

“Like I always say, the less damage we do the better,” he said upon receiving the accolade at Coverciano, which was his second in succession.

Rugani drops Chelsea hints

Daniele Rugani’s girlfriend fuelled rumours of a Chelsea transfer for the Juventus defender by posting an image of his English lessons on social media.

The centre-back has been repeatedly linked with a move to London, where he’d reunite with his former Empoli boss Maurizio Sarri.

Although it was reported a new contract had practically been agreed with the Bianconeri, he doesn’t seem to have entirely given up on the Premier League idea.

Ancelotti: ‘When ADL called me to Napoli…’

Carlo Ancelotti was surprised to be given the Napoli job, admitting when President Aurelio De Laurentiis called “I thought he was joking”.

The Champions League winner replaced Maurizio Sarri on the bench in the summer, but he didn’t expect to be arrive at the San Paolo.

“I wanted to go back to speaking Italian,” Ancelotti told DAZN, after spells in France, England, Germany and Spain.

Rugani set for Juve extension

Daniele Rugani is on the verge of agreeing a new contract with improved salary at Juventus after interest from Chelsea, it’s reported.

The centre-back barely features at club level, but the Bianconeri still refused to release him to his former Empoli Coach Maurizio Sarri over the summer.

Sarri sets new Chelsea record

Maurizio Sarri has set a new record as the first Chelsea manager ever to go unbeaten in his opening 10 Premier League games.
