Tacchinardi: 'Juve letting Sarri down'

Former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi warns the current squad are ‘playing with fire’ and letting Maurizio Sarri down. ‘Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot have to wake up.’

The Bianconeri picked up just two points from the last three rounds, scraping draws with Atalanta and Sassuolo, while beaten by Milan despite going 2-0 up.

“I thought it was Sarri asking them to do this, but now I’ve become convinced the players just aren’t delivering what he wants,” Tacchinardi told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Pochettino option for Juventus or Inter

According to The Telegraph newspaper, Mauricio Pochettino is one of the candidates to take over at Juventus and Inter next season, as the title race hots up.

Antonio Conte’s Inter moved to within six points of leaders Juventus thanks to last night’s 4-0 win away to SPAL, putting the Scudetto back in contention.

Tuttosport warn Maurizio Sarri will be fired if he doesn’t win the Serie A title or lift the Champions League in his debut season.

Sarri: 'Juventus can leave you perplexed'

Maurizio Sarri admits Juventus ‘seem to have enormous potential, and at other times leave you perplexed’ after a 3-3 thriller with Sassuolo.

The Bianconeri went 2-0 up within 12 minutes thanks to Danilo and Gonzalo Higuain goals, but Sassuolo came back to lead 3-2 and could’ve won it at the death if not for Wojciech Szczesny heroics and an Alex Sandro goal-line clearance.

Sarri: 'Sassuolo are like Atalanta'

Maurizio Sarri claims Juventus must be wary of an ‘unhesitant’ Sassuolo, confirms Leonardo Bonucci struggles with a foot injury and says the Old Lady only focus on picking up the required 11 points from their last six games.

The Bianconeri coach prepares to face Roberto De Zerbi’s Neroverdi at the Mapei Stadium tomorrow and feels the hosts represents a similar task to the one against Atalanta last time.

Sarri: 'How Juve changed the game'

Maurizio Sarri reveals how Juventus ‘changed the game’ with a different second half attitude against Atalanta, ‘one of the form teams in Europe now.’

The Bianconeri were out-played for the entire first half and went behind twice in Turin, but clawed their way back to a 2-2 draw thanks to two Cristiano Ronaldo penalties.

The result allows them to go nine points clear at the top of the table, as Lazio lost 2-1 to Sassuolo earlier today.

Sarri: 'Consistency is key'

Chelsea to sell Jorginho?

Jorginho has reportedly informed Chelsea that he is unhappy at the club, with Maurizio Sarri still ‘keen’ to bring the midfielder to Juventus.

Jorginho was a virtual ever-present for Chelsea before the coronavirus lockdown, but since the season restarted he has played just 10 minutes of the Blues’ five games.

Now, Goal.com claims the 29-year-old is ‘unhappy’ with his current situation at Chelsea, given teenager Billy Gilmour has seen more game time than him.

Sarri: 'Juve in control, then blackout'

Maurizio Sarri insists Juventus should not even try to analyse their ‘blackout’ against Milan, because they were ‘world class and in total control for 60 minutes.’

The Bianconeri could’ve gone 10 points clear after Lazio lost 2-1 to Lecce earlier this evening, but instead the gap remains at seven because they fumbled a 2-0 lead for the 4-2 defeat at San Siro.

Sarri: 'Higuain needs tough love'

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri claims he only ever fights with Gonzalo Higuain, who ‘needs pampering one day and beating against a wall the next’.

Juve are seven points clear at the top of Serie A after they won and both Lazio and Inter lost in the last round of fixtures.

However, they are preparing to face a Milan side who they struggled against in the Coppa Italia and who remain unbeaten since the restart.

“Tomorrow’s a difficult game for us,” Sarri said at a press conference.

Some Serie A identities are innate

Just as a leopard can't change its spots, some Serie A clubs simply cannot shake their natural identities, for good or bad, writes Susy Campanale.

It’s remarkable that some clubs have an identity firmly entrenched in their very being, which cannot seem to change, no matter how many coaches, players and owners pass through. Inter are the Pazza (crazy) side that will lurch from a magnificent victory to a ludicrous self-inflicted defeat. Roma will always find a way of creating drama and chaos. Lazio forever think like the country cousins in the shadow of their city-dwelling rivals. Juventus grind out results, because winning is the only thing that matters. Atalanta run like the wind, or the Goddess in their club symbol.
