Thohir wants Moratti stay?

Inter President Erick Thohir reportedly doesn’t want Massimo Moratti to sell his shares in the club. 

Former President Moratti is believed to have decided to assign his 29.5 per cent of club shares to his children Angelomario and Giovanni.

There were suggestions that the man who ran the club for 18 years is not satisfied in a minor role since Thohir took over in 2013.

Inter, Milan hold stadium meeting

Inter President Erick Thohir reportedly met his Milan counterpart Silvio Berlusconi to discuss San Siro.

The Rossoneri had been planning to move out and build a new stadium in the Portello area of the city, but the plan was scrapped after a disagreement with the owners of the land.

According to Sky, Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani met with Thohir and Michael Bolingbroke at the former prime minister’s Arcore residence.

Inter €45m in the red

Inter have announced a net loss of more than €45m for 2014-15, but President Erick Thohir says ‘we’ve worked well in the market.’

The club announced this morning that they have made a loss of €45.3m over the last year, but non-recurring expenses for previous coaching staff, player contracts on Financial Fair Play obligations reportedly mean the real figure is €74m.

However, Thohir is convinced that the figures show that the club is heading towards a positive future, while discussing a new sponsor.

Moratti: 'I can sell Inter shares'

Massimo Moratti confirmed he has “given the all-clear to sell my 30 per cent” of Inter.

The former President is prepared to walk away from the club that he owned up until two years ago, when he sold the majority shares to Erick Thohir.

“I have given the all-clear to sell my 30 per cent of the club,” Moratti told Rai Sport.

It’s reported he could be in negotiations with United Arab Emirates investors, including Etihad Airways.

Moratti was interviewed after a 0-0 Serie A draw with Juventus at San Siro.

Inter set for Etihad windfall

It’s reported Inter are in advanced negotiations for a sponsorship deal with Etihad Airways worth €125m over five years.

The company is already the main shirt sponsor for several big sporting institutions, including Manchester City and New York City FC.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Corriere della Sera and more, Inter President Erick Thohir is on the verge of sealing a deal with Etihad.

It’d be worth €125m to sponsor the Nerazzurri jerseys over a five-year period.

Thohir: 'Excellent Derby d'Italia'

Inter President Erick Thohir trusts the Derby d’Italia with Juventus “will be an excellent spectacle.”

Moratti to sell Inter shares?

Former President Massimo Moratti could sell his remaining Inter shares to an Arabian contingent.

The ex-patron is still on the Board of Directors, but according to La Repubblica newspaper feels the time is right to move on.

He still owns 30 per cent of the club, having sold the rest to Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir.

It’s reported Moratti will sell all but two or three per cent.

While an Arabian group of investors are the favourites to buy his shares, Moratti could sell to Thohir instead.

Inter President Erick Thohir says ‘people come and go’ after dismissing director general Marco Fassone.

The Nerazzurri parted ways with Fassone after three years recently, following a reported breakdown in their relationship

Thohir also discussed stadium plans and sponsorship, and urges the team to be ‘more aggressive’

“I’ve always respected Fassone, but in business people come and go,” he said to Sky Sport.

Fassone set for Inter exit?

Inter director general Marco Fassone reportedly faces the exit door as Erick Thohir plans a reshuffle of the Inter hierarchy.

Gazzetta dello Sport has reported today that an official announcement about Fassone’s departure is expected from the Nerazzurri soon.

The newspaper believes that Englishman Michael Bolingbroke will now become the first sporting contact for Coach Roberto Mancini.

Fassone has been at Inter since May 2012 and has a contract running until 2016, but there has reportedly been a breakdown in his relationship with the club.
