Third-tier Como in for Balotelli

Serie C side Como have made an audacious attempt to sign Brescia outcast Mario Balotelli.

Balotelli’s Brescia career is over, with the two currently involved in a contract wrangle as the club looks to get him off their wage bill.

Now, Sky Sport Italia reports the striker could join Como, who finished 13th in Serie C Group A last season but have big ambitions for the future under their Indonesian owners.

Brescia: 'Balotelli is 8kg overweight'

The official Brescia website has updated Mario Balotelli’s details to show he now weighs 99.8kg – approximately 8kg overweight.

It’s another step in the battle between the club and their star striker, who has been excluded from training amid a contract dispute.

The data was changed on his profile in the official website, showing he is 190cm tall and weighs 99.8kg (216lbs).

This would make the forward approximately 8kg (17.6lbs) overweight.

Boca Juniors idea for Balotelli

Mario Balotelli’s time with Brescia is at an end and his next move could be to Argentina for Boca Juniors, according to the latest reports.

The striker turns 30 next month and should still be in the prime of his career, but yet another experience is coming to a negative end, with Brescia and Balotelli suing each other over various contract disputes.

According to several sources in South America, including the often reliable Tyc Sports, Balotelli has been offered to Boca Juniors by agent Mino Raiola.

Brescia begin Balotelli proceedings

Brescia have formally begun proceedings to terminate Mario Balotelli’s contract, in a sign that the striker has played his last game for the club.

Balotelli has been frozen out since the restart after falling out with Brescia owner Massimo Cellino.

This morning, it was confirmed the Rondinelle had exercised their right to withdraw the 29-year-old from his contract.

The former Inter and Milan hitman signed a three-year deal with his hometown side last summer, but it contained an exit clause if they were relegated from Serie A.

Balotelli returning to the fold?

Brescia forward Mario Balotelli will, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, undergo the first swab test today, which could be the initial step back into the group.

The second swab will be carried out on Friday and two negative tests could give him the go ahead to return to action.

However, the war with the club seems to drag on between lawyers and the court. The newspaper claims there will be consequences, but a return to the pitch for the former Italy international could help calm the situation and restore the normality at Brescia.

Mancini: 'Balotelli throwing talent away'

Italy coach Roberto Mancini confesses he is running out of patience with Mario Balotelli. ‘I hope one day he wakes up and realises he’s throwing his talent away.’

The striker has probably played his final game in a Brescia jersey, as the club is suing him and agent Mino Raiola for ‘slander’, while the player is taking legal action claiming the club excluded him from training.

“I care for him, regardless of all the things he does,” Mancini told RAI Sport.

Cellino: 'Tonali wants to stay in Italy'

Brescia owner Massimo Cellino claims Sandro Tonali ‘wants to stay in Italy’ and that his club is ‘licking its wounds’ after Mario Balotelli flopped.

Tonali is currently the subject of a tug-of-war between Inter and Juventus in the transfer market, and Cellino confirmed the midfielder could join either side.

Balotelli left out of Brescia training

Mario Balotelli has stopped training with Brescia yet again due to a recurring stomach bug, after the club threatened to sue him and agent Mino Raiola.

It looks increasingly likely that Balotelli has played his last game for hometown club Brescia, less than a year into this experience.

Over the last few weeks, he has repeatedly either missed training or worked separately from the rest of the squad.
