Reports: Brescia sack Balotelli

Reports this morning claim Brescia have terminated Mario Balotelli’s contract after the striker failed to turn up for training.

Il Messaggero, Gazzetta dello Sport and Nicolo Schira all state Brescia owner Massimo Cellino sent Balotelli a letter requesting a dissolution of his three-year deal.

Although the contract runs until 2022, there is a break clause at the end of the season if the Rondinelle are relegated to Serie B.

Balotelli: 'Still sick'

Mario Balotelli stated on his Instagram Stories that he is ‘still sick’ as a reason for not turning up to Brescia training sessions.

The controversy has been swirling over the last week, with Brescia President Massimo Cellino calling the entire deal “a mistake” and multiple reports the forward has been skipping training.

SuperMario repeatedly denied he was standing Brescia staff up and assured he would explain when the time was right.

Reports: Balotelli misses training again

Brescia striker Mario Balotelli has missed training again, amidst reports that a legal battle is on the horizon.

ANSA, Calciomercato.com and Tuttomercatoweb all claim Balotelli was absent without permission from Brescia’s training ground in Torbole this morning.

It comes after the 29-year-old skipped training without a valid reason last week, prompting owner Massimo Cellino to speak of his regret in signing him.

It is claimed Cellino wants an early termination, whereas ‘SuperMario’ would like to see out the remainder of his contract.

Report: LA Galaxy ask about Balotelli

Brescia forward Mario Balotelli has allegedly been targeted by LA Galaxy, as the former Italy international wants a swift return to the pitch.
