Brescia turn away Balotelli?

Mario Balotelli and Brescia seem to have reached breaking point after he was reportedly turned away from a meeting with President Massimo Cellino.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the pair were due to meet on Friday afternoon with ‘a desire to clear the air’.

Cellino: 'A mistake signing Balotelli'

Brescia patron Massimo Cellino has claimed he ‘made a mistake’ when he brought Mario Balotelli back to Italy.

With the Rondielle bottom of Serie A, Cellino doesn’t picture a future with Balotelli in the squad and has questioned the former Italy international’s ‘commitment’ to the side.

“He doesn’t show up to training, he doesn’t look very committed let’s say, for the future of the club. That’s the problem,” Cellino told World Football Show on BBC World Service.

Balotelli exit talk 'all nonsense'

Mario Balotelli’s brother has claimed that talk of the striker possibly leaving Brescia is ‘all nonsense. He trains like a professional every day’.

Balotelli was reported to have gone AWOL yesterday, but Enoch Barwuah has since come out in defence of the Italy international, assuring he is back ‘training regularly’ for Brescia.

Balotelli holds Brescia talks

Mario Balotelli held talks with Brescia officials today after his training no-show, amidst reports a contract termination is close.

Balotelli skipped training without explanation yesterday and only returned this morning, citing a stomach problem.

Sportmediaset and Gazzetta dello Sport are among those that claim he also spoke to Brescia sporting director Stefano Cordone.

As per the terms of training protocol, the 29-year-old was sent home shortly after.

Balotelli AWOL for Brescia?

There are growing reports of a total breakdown in communication between Mario Balotelli and Brescia after he skipped training. ‘No comment.’

The striker had shrugged off rumours of problems last week and then began training, but only by himself with secondary members of the staff, in areas usually reserved for youth team players.

Coach Diego Lopez and the rest of the squad continued to train on the regular pitches.

This carried on for a couple of days, but today Balotelli was nowhere to be seen.

Brazilians line up for Balotelli

There continue to be reports Mario Balotelli will leave Brescia for a new experience in Brazil, with Flamengo, Botafogo and Vasco da Gama all options.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, agent Mino Raiola is working on an exciting transfer to Brazil for next season.

It’s suggested there are already three clubs who have made their interest known – Flamengo, Botafogo and Vasco da Gama.

Balotelli turns 30 in August and has give goals in 19 Serie A games for hometown club Brescia so far this term.

Raiola plots Balotelli departure?

Brescia forward Mario Balotelli looks set for another stint abroad as agent Mino Raiola has allegedly opened talks with Vasco da Gama and Galatasaray.

The Italian striker returned to Italy last summer but has struggled to live up to the expectations, as Brescia are currently rooted to the foot of the table.

Balotelli, who signed a contract until June 2022 upon his return to Lombardy, has contributed five goals in 19 Serie A games this campaign.
