Zenga to Nantes, Gattuso to Miami?

As Nantes move for Walter Zenga after being rejected by Gennaro Gattuso, the former Milan boss could link back up with David Beckham at Inter Miami.

Gattuso was offered the role at Nantes, but Gazzetta dello Sport reports he passed up the opportunity.

The newspaper adds the French club are now in negotiations with Zenga, who is currently out of work after leaving Serie B side Venezia in March.

Beckham's Miami call Icardi

Inter outcast Mauro Icardi has reportedly received an offer from David Beckham’s new MLS franchise Inter Miami CF.

According to Argentine news agency Telam, Beckham approached the striker to propose he join their debut Major League Soccer season in 2020.

Icardi is frozen out of the Inter squad by new Coach Antonio Conte, who does not consider him part of the plan going forward.

Eriksson: 'Lazio strongest in Europe'

Sven Goran Eriksson maintains his Lazio was “at that point the strongest team in Europe,” while he’s proud of Simone Inzaghi and Roberto Mancini.

The Swede was in Naples this evening to accept a Lifetime Achievement Award as part of the Football Leader event.

“I was in Italy for 13 years in different clubs. It was an extraordinary experience,” said Eriksson.

Inter legal battle with Inter Miami and MLS

Inter are locked in a legal battle with David Beckham’s MLS expansion franchise Inter Miami over the name and logo.

The Serie A side had filed a US Patent and Trademark application to make ‘Inter’ an exclusive brand name in America back in 2014.

MLS and Inter Miami have filed a claim of opposition, report ProSoccerUSA and Sports Pro Media.

Gattuso: 'Milan my childhood dream'

Gennaro Gattuso admits it was “a childhood dream to lift a trophy with Milan” and looks back over his playing career, including the vainest teammate.

He was a star of the Rossoneri midfield from 1999 to 2012, then returned as Coach with the task of reminding players what representing this historic club truly means.

“Milan have always been a dream, as I supported this side when I was a kid,” Gattuso told DAZN Italia.

Beckham to receive UEFA award

Former Milan player David Beckham will receive the UEFA President’s Award for his contribution to football and charity work.

The 43-year-old retired in 2013 after a career spent with Manchester United, Real Madrid, the LA Galaxy, Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.

He will receive the award in Monaco later this year, following in the footsteps of Johan Cruyff, Franz Beckenbauer, Bobby Robson, Paolo Maldini, Frank Rijkaard and Gianni Rivera.

In 2017, the winner was Roma legend and Italy World Cup winner Francesco Totti.

Beckham: What I learned at Milan...

David Beckham says he learned ‘the importance of history’ at Milan and ‘breathed’ the hallmarks of a great club during his time there.

Beckham played for Milan over two spells between 2009 and 2010, and the former England midfielder reminisced on the ‘special atmosphere’ and ‘authenticity’ of the Rossoneri.

“Do you know what I learned at Milan? The importance of history, which goes beyond things you can touch with your hand,” he told Corriere della Sera.

Beckham reveals Milan ‘love’

David Beckham has tipped Milan to go back to being amongst the world’s elite after professing his ‘love’ for the club.

Beckham enjoyed two loan spells at Milan in 2009 and 2010, and the former England midfielder recounted some of his ‘beautiful memories’ with the Rossoneri.

“I have so many beautiful memories of my time there... it was special,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“The club, fans and city welcomed me with open arms. I liked playing in Italy and at Milan: I miss Milan, as well as the country.

Beckham: ‘I wanted to play with Totti’

David Beckham reveals he had the chance to join Roma, and was tempted by the chance to play with Francesco Totti.

The Giallorossi legend will play his final match for the club against Genoa on Sunday evening, and the former England captain is the latest to pay tribute to Er Pupone.

“There was an opportunity for me to join Roma when I was in America,” Beckham told Roma’s official website.

“One of the biggest reasons I was very tempted was because of Francesco. To play in a team with him would have been very special.
