Lyon lock down Aouar and Depay

Lyon have reportedly ended all negotiations for Memphis Depay and Houssem Aouar, blocking off Barcelona, Juventus and Arsenal.

President Jean-Michel Aulas had warned he would not sell the stars if a deal had not been done by Friday and was seemingly true to his word.

According to RMC Sport, club sources told them any talks for these players had been terminated.

Depay was the first choice for Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman as replacement for Luis Suarez.

Torreira has Atletico Madrid medical

Lucas Torreira is undergoing his Atletico Madrid medical today, moving from Arsenal, as Torino, Fiorentina and Milan failed to agree terms.

The former Pescara and Sampdoria midfielder had been linked with a return to Italy, but Arsenal’s asking price proved too much for them and they ultimately looked towards other targets.

It’s reported they accepted a loan deal with option to buy for Atletico Madrid.

The Uruguay international was photographed at the Atletico Madrid training ground this afternoon, where he is undergoing his medical.

PSG and Arsenal ask after Jorginho?

Telefoot Chaine in France claim that PSG and Arsenal are interested in signing Italy international Jorginho on loan from Chelsea.

It seems an unlikely turn of events, especially as the Blues wanted at least €50m when Juventus attempted to get the midfielder for then-coach Maurizio Sarri last season.

Telefoot correspondent Saber Desfarges insists Arsenal at the favourites, which would seem even more implausible, considering they are London rivals.

Report: No Aouar for Juve

Juventus look to have passed up Houssem Aouar as it is reported the Olympique Lyonnais midfielder is on his way to Arsenal.

Juve had long been linked with Aouar and were thought to be preparing a bid for him earlier in the summer.

However, Telefoot is claiming this evening that whereas they and Barcelona were his preferred destinations, neither made a serious offer for his services.

That would have allowed Arsenal to steal a march, with the Gunners bidding around €40m for the Frenchman.

The move had seemed in doubt for weeks, with Arsenal and Liverpool also interested, but he eventually signed for Napoli.
