Inter and Arsenal watch Maksimovic

Napoli defender Nikola Maksimovic is on the radar of Inter and Arsenal after struggling for playing time at the Stadio San Paolo.

The 25-year-old Serbia international was signed for €25m last summer after a transfer tug-of-war with Torino.

However, he had difficulty settling into Coach Maurizio Sarri’s tactics and spent most of the season on the bench.

This term hasn’t started too well either, managing two games between Serie A and the Champions League.

Inter, Juventus in for Giroud?

Reports in Italy claim Juventus and Inter could move for Olivier Giroud of Arsenal in the summer.

The French international has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates since the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette, and hasn’t started a single Premier League game so far.

The 31-year-old was close to Everton in the summer, but ultimately decided to stay in north London.

Now calciomercato.it is reporting that he could have interest from Serie A this summer, as Juve could look to do a cheap deal if Mario Mandzukic leaves.

“We’re studying how we can strengthen the team,” Thohir told Bolalob.

“We’re still looking for the players to buy. We have a lot of good scouts all over the place.

Report: Inter look to Walcott

Inter are reportedly weighing up a swoop for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott in January.

Calciomercato.it cites English sources that state Arsenal will look to move on Walcott over the winter.

The 28-year-old’s contract does not expire until 2019, but he has played just 46 minutes of Premier League football this season.

Consequently, he would be deemed surplus to requirements by the Gunners, allowing Inter to view him as “a possible reinforcement in attack.”
