Gervinho: 'Not my best goal'

Gervinho wouldn’t call the coast-to-coast slalom against Cagliari his best career goal, but he is loving life at Parma.

The veteran Ivorian ran from just outside his own penalty area to shrug off three challenges and fire in off the upright in today’s 2-0 victory.

“I don’t know if it’s my best goal, as I’ve scored many in my time…” the ex-Arsenal and Roma man told Sky Sport Italia.

‘Gazidis final piece of Milan jigsaw’

Paolo Scaroni believes the arrival of the ‘extraordinary’ Ivan Gazidis means Milan ‘now have the essential ingredients to be successful again’.

Official: Gazidis to join Milan

Milan have officially confirmed that Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis will join as their new CEO on December 1.

American owners Elliott Management have been keen to appoint someone to handle the day-to-day running of the club, taking the burden off President Paolo Scaroni.

“AC Milan announced today that Ivan Gazidis has accepted its offer to join the club as its Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”). Mr. Gazidis will officially begin his CEO duties on December 1, 2018,” a statement from the Rossoneri reads.

Report: Gazidis to join Milan

A leading Arsenal fan website reports that Ivan Gazidis has agreed to join Milan as their new CEO.

The South African former lawyer is currently the Gunners’ chief executive, but Elliott Management want him to take over the day-to-day running of the Rossoneri.

Paolo Maldini and Leonardo are in charge of the football side, but current President Paolo Scaroni wants to take a step back once a CEO can be named.

Brozovic to pen new Inter deal

Marcelo Brozovic is expected to sign a new contract holding him to Inter until June 2021, earning €3m per season.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, the Croatia international has reached an agreement with his club and will put pen to paper next week.

This new deal would take his salary to €3m per year, putting him on a par with teammates Borja Valero, Matias Vecino, Joao Mario, Samir Handanovic, Joao Miranda and Kwadwo Asamoah.

Ex-Inter striker ‘saved 542 lives’

Former Inter striker Nwankwo Kanu says his heart foundation has ‘saved 542 lives’ after explaining how a cardiac problem inspired him to help others.

Kanu was only able to play on after an issue with his aortic valve was corrected two friendlies into his 1997 transfer to Inter from Ajax, prompting the 42-year-old to set up The Kanu Heart Foundation for children from underprivileged backgrounds in Africa.

“We have saved 542,” he told The Guardian.

Scaroni confirms Gazidis talks

Milan President Paolo Scaroni has confirmed that talks with Arsenal CEO Ivan Gazidis are ‘ongoing’.

Gazidis has been linked with Milan ever since Elliott Management’s takeover of the club, and Scaroni spoke of his optimism at a deal being struck with the Greek-South African.

“Gattuso must be calm, but I don’t think he feels worked up,” he continued to Corriere della Sera.

“He’s my Coach because he’s done well. I also like him because he treats his job with complete sincerity.

Reina tops Premier League chart

Current Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina has the highest clean-sheet percentage in the history of the Premier League.

FourFourTwo crunched the numbers for the clean-sheet ratio of every Premier League goalie since 1992, as long as they had at least 50 appearances.

Reina came out on top thanks to his time at Liverpool from 2005 to 2013, in which he racked up 285 Premier League games and 134 clean sheets.

Gazidis brings Ramsey to Milan?

Ivan Gazidis could reportedly bring Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal to Milan if he takes over as the club’s CEO.
