Van Persie visited Juventus – report

The Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Arsenal’s Robin Van Persie was in Turin last week to mull over a move to Juventus.

The Italian champions are looking for a big name striker to aid their Champions League assault and the Dutchman is one of the many players being linked.

Juve begin Higuain talks

Reports in Italy on Friday are claiming that Juventus have made their first move for Real Madrid ace Gonzalo Higuain.

The Old Lady are looking for a new big name striker and there appears to be three candidates – Higuain, Liverpool’s Luis Suarez and Robin Van Persie of Arsenal.

England next for Del Piero?

Reports in Italy on Tuesday are suggesting that Juventus idol Alessandro Del Piero may continue his career in England.

The 37-year-old will become a free agent next month once his contract with the new Italian champions expires.

It was expected that he would go and end his playing days in America, but now there is talk that a Premiership stint may be on the horizon.

Juve make Van Persie offer

Juventus have discussed contract terms with the agent of Arsenal’s Robin Van Persie, reports La Stampa.

According to the publication, the player’s representative flew into Turin on Friday and left on Saturday morning.

In between flights, he allegedly spoke with the Old Lady where a four-year contract worth €7.5m a season was discussed.

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has blamed the club’s loss to Arsenal on their black strip. “We won’t wear it again!”

Milan an option for Van Persie

Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie would consider a move to Milan at the end of the season, his agents have admitted.

The Dutch international has been heavily linked with a switch to San Siro given that he’s only contracted to the Gunners until June 2013.

“Milan want Van Persie? Good! We can talk about it,” Jeroen Hoogewerf told TMW on Thursday afternoon.
