However, it is warned they ‘above all’ face competition from Arsenal, as well as their Serie A rivals

There is also the issue of meeting Verona’s €30m asking price, so the newspaper points to Adam Marusic as the key.

Ivan the Terrible strikes again

Ralf Rangnick may well be the right man for Milan, but Livio Caferoglu writes Ivan Gazidis has gone in completely the wrong way about hiring him.

Not even a global health emergency could mellow the madness at Milan. Only last summer, Elliott Management backed Zvonimir Boban and Paolo Maldini to return the club to greatness. Less than 12 months on and the pair are about to be consigned to the Rossoneri’s history books for the second time. Instead, a man with no official connections to the red half of San Siro has been allowed to call the shots, seemingly without informing his colleagues at the club.

“We’d already done everything with Barcelona, but they only wanted to pay €8m and, since Fluminense really needed the money, we decided to do a deal with Roma, given they offered €16m,” Marcao told Yahoo Esportes.
