Napoli dive in for Szoboszlai

Napoli have reportedly dived in ahead of Milan and Arsenal for RB Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai, setting up a meeting with his representatives.

Milan and Arsenal seemed to be fighting it out to sign Szoboszlai, but Sky Sport Italia claims Napoli are ‘ready’ to pay his €25m release clause.

Furthermore, a meeting has been scheduled between Partenopei officials and the midfielder’s camp later this week.

Giuntoli: 'New contract or Milik on market'

Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli confirms that if Arkadiusz Milik does not agree a new contract, ‘he will be put on the transfer market’ this summer.

The striker’s current deal runs to June 2021 and negotiations have so far failed to find a breakthrough.

“We’ve been talking to his entourage for a while,” director of sport Giuntoli told DAZN before today’s Serie A game with Verona.

Milik to discuss Napoli extension

Arkadiusz Milik is reportedly discussing a new contract with Napoli, as his €50m price-tag is putting other clubs off.

The Poland international’s deal is due to expire in June 2021, so he had been expected to leave this summer.

Juventus, Inter, Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal had all been linked with the tall centre-forward.

However, the €50m asking price is stalling negotiations for a player who scored 12 goals in 24 competitive games this season, including three in four Champions League appearances.

Mkhitaryan: 'I needed a change'

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has revealed why he left Arsenal for Roma and how Inter icon Youri Djorkaeff ‘drove me to become a football player’.

Mkhitaryan moved on loan to Roma last summer and confessed he needed a ‘change’ in his career, having failed to truly establish himself at Arsenal.

“It was a bit of a shame because I missed the most important games of the season, but now I‘m happy to be back,” he told Serie A’s official YouTube channel.

Roma want cash plus Mkhi for Kluivert

Negotiations continue between Roma and Arsenal, but they disagree over Justin Kluivert’s transfer valuation compared to Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, the Giallorossi are asking for Mkhitaryan to make his loan move permanent, but also for Arsenal to hand over an extra €10-15m.

In exchange for the Armenia international and the cash, Roma would then send wide striker Kluivert to the Gunners.

On the other hand, Arsenal maintain the two players are worth the same figure in today’s transfer market.

“They’re different,” he told Publico.pt when asked to compare Justin to his father, former Milan and Barcelona striker Patrick.
