Sun: Ramsey offered to Spurs

There is an unexpected report in England’s The Sun newspaper that Juventus are offering Aaron Ramsey to Tottenham Hotspur on loan.

SunSport maintains the Bianconeri proposed the idea to Spurs in order to get his £400,000 per week wages off their already huge salary bill.

While it is generally considered to be true that Ramsey’s future in Turin is far from certain just a year after joining from Arsenal as a free agent, he is more likely to be used as part of an exchange deal to bring in other transfer targets.

Arsenal beat Milan to Upamecano

It’s reported Arsenal have won the race for RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano, who was also a target for Milan, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

According to Tuttosport newspaper, the 21-year-old has made his decision to join the Gunners.

It’s also stated that RB Leipzig agreed terms, informing Milan that they are not going to sign the centre-back.

The Rossoneri had hoped that the imminent arrival of RB Leipzig director Ralf Rangnick as their new coach would help sway Upamecano towards San Siro.

Kluivert to Arsenal for Mkhitaryan?

Mino Raiola is reportedly working on a swap deal that would keep Henrikh Mkhitaryan at Roma and send Justin Kluivert to Arsenal.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, talks have taken place between the two clubs this week over the possibility of an exchange, with Raiola mediating as the agent of both players.

With that in mind, the newspaper claims Roma could pay €12-14m to sign Mkhitaryan permanently, with Arsenal shelling out €35-40m for Kluivert.

Inter are on track to secure Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali for €30m plus performance-related bonuses, claim Sky Sport Italia.

Transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio maintains a deal is close to completion between the two clubs, after Tonali made clear his preference was San Siro.

Despite growing up as a Milan supporter, the 20-year-old was won over by Antonio Conte’s plan for the team, which already includes fellow Italy internationals Stefano Sensi and Nicolò Barella.

Even with his ex-Empoli coach Maurizio Sarri in charge, he still struggled to get into the team, then became the first Serie A player to be diagnosed with COVID-19.
