Arsenal and Wolves eye Rugani

Juventus defender Daniele Rugani could end up in the Premier League next season, with Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers ready to pounce.

The centre-back turns 26 next month, but has barely featured for the Bianconeri since his return from the Empoli loan spell in the summer of 2015.

Even with his ex-Empoli coach Maurizio Sarri in charge, he still struggled to get into the team, then became the first Serie A player to be diagnosed with COVID-19.

Borja and Vecino on their way?

Borja Valero and Matias Vecino are reportedly set to leave Inter this summer to accommodate for Sandro Tonali and the return of Radja Nainggolan.

Cagliari won’t be able to keep the former Belgium international Nainggolan at the Sardegna Arena and the former Roma midfielder is set for a return to San Siro.

He has been linked with a move away, but Tuttosport claims coach Antonio Conte can pave the way for both Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali and the returning 32-year-old.

Ounas key for Osimhen?

Despite the words of Lille President Gerard Lopez, Italian reports insist they would favour Napoli in a deal worth €40m plus Adam Ounas for Victor Osimhen.

Lopez told Sportmail today that he wanted a similar sum to that paid for Nicolas Pepe last summer, which cost Arsenal €78m after they beat Napoli in a bidding war.

However, Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà maintains the asking price for 21-year-old Osimhen is closer to €55-60m.

Roma to extend Smalling loan?

Manchester United are said to be softening their stance on Chris Smalling, so he could even be allowed to extend his loan at Roma.

The defender has been a revelation at the Stadio Olimpico this season and said he would like to remain in the Italian Capital.

Negotiations over a permanent purchase have dragged on, with the €20m asking price considered excessive for a player who turns 31 in November.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there could be a breakthrough caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Napoli push Milik towards England

Napoli have reportedly rejected the Juventus approach for Arkadiusz Milik and could even give Premier League clubs a discount on the €50m asking price.

Maurizio Sarri would relish the opportunity to work with the Poland international again in Turin, while Milik is refusing to sign a new contract for the deal that expires in June 2021.

According to La Repubblica newspaper, President Aurelio De Laurentiis is eager not to reinforce a direct rival and will do everything possible to stall Milik’s transfer to Juventus.

'Allegri's next adventure is abroad'

Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini reveals he ‘asked Max Allegri’ to take the Sardinian job in January. ‘He told me his next adventure will be abroad.’

It would’ve been a return for the former Juventus and Milan coach, who was on the Cagliari bench from 2008-10 under President Massimo Cellino.

“I made a bit of a mad phone call towards the end of January, offering Allegri the job, knowing full well it was going to be impossible,” Giulini said on Sky Sport Italia.

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has emerged as a potential Inter transfer target, but L’Equipe also warns he doesn’t seem interested in the move.
