Morata prepares for 'special' match

Juventus forward Alvaro Morata will ask to swap shirts with Inter forward Romelu Lukaku on Sunday, said he loves playing with Cristiano Ronaldo and is determined to fight for the Scudetto in 2020-21.

Morata returned to Juventus last summer and has impressed in his return to Turin, contributing four goals and six assists in 12 Serie A games.

The Spanish forward recalled the decider from the Derby d’Italia in 2015, when he put on a pair of sunglasses that flew out of the hands of a disappointed Inter fan.

Morata returns to Juventus squad

Alvaro Morata has returned to Juventus' squad list for their home clash against Sassuolo.

The Spaniard missed the last two games with an injury, but his available to face the Neroverdi at the Allianz Stadium this evening.

Andrea Pirlo said on Saturday the former Atletico Madrid star could be included in the squad list, but ruled out he would start the game.

The Old Lady have Matthijs de Ligt, Alex Sandro and Juan Cuadrado out of action as they tested positive for COVID.

Morata targeting Inter comeback

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata is on track to recover in time for the Derby d’Italia with Inter on January 17.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Spain international is progressing well after skipping the wins over Udinese and Milan with a muscular issue.

He won’t be ready for this weekend against Sassuolo, but Morata should be back as a substitute for a run-out in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 tie with Genoa on January 13.

If he does well there, then Morata could be in the starting XI against Inter on January 17.

Morata out of Juventus squad list for Udinese clash

Alvaro Morata has been left out of Juventus squad list to face Udinese this evening.

The Old Lady have just announced their squad list for this evening clash against Udinese and the Spaniard is not available for the game.

The Serie A giants have revealed the former Atletico Madrid striker is not in the squad due to a muscle strain in his right thigh, which he felt during yesterday's training.

Paulo Dybala is expected to start alongside Cristiano Ronaldo up front.

Pirlo: ‘Morata made me angry’

Andrea Pirlo admits Alvaro Morata made him angry ‘but played a great game’ and insists Juventus need more concentration to win games.

“We played against a strong team, with great rhythm, but on that floor we played on par with them," Pirlo told Sky Sport after Juventus' 1-1 draw against Atalanta.

Juventus: Morata ban reduced to one match

The FIGC has reduced Juventus forward Alvaro Morata’s ban to one match, meaning he will be available against Genoa on Sunday.

The Bianconeri striker was shown a red card at the end of the match against Benevento and suspended for two-games by the Disciplinary Commission.

Juventus’ appeal against the two-match ban has led to a reduction to one game and the Spanish forward can play against Genoa on Sunday.
