Milan hope Real Madrid will accept a two-year loan for Dani Ceballos, with option and counter-option, similar to the one that took Alvaro Morata to Juventus.

According to Sportmediaset, the Rossoneri are negotiating to ensure they can rely on the player for at least two seasons, with Real Madrid also given guarantees over his future.

The format of the deal would be a two-year loan worth €5-8m with option to buy in 2021 for €32-35m.

Morata: Sarri misled me

Former Juventus striker Alvaro Morata has looked back on his ‘dry’ spell at Chelsea and called out Maurizio Sarri for misleading him.

Morata was brought in as big-money striker to replace Diego Costa at Chelsea, but he struggled for goals and confidence under both Antonio Conte and Sarri.

The 26-year-old has since joined Atletico Madrid, where he has recovered some of his form, and he questioned the latter’s approach to man-management.

“I had lost confidence in myself previously,” he told Goal.com.

Llorente: Never a foul on Chiellini!

Fernando Llorente claims Alvaro Morata’s disallowed goal for Atletico Madrid against Juventus was ‘never a foul’ on Giorgio Chiellini.

Chiellini claimed to have been pushed by Morata in the box before the Spaniard headed past Wojciech Szczesny, and Llorente was not impressed by the antics of his former Bianconeri teammate.

“Anything can happen, anyone can win it,” the Tottenham Hotspur striker told Radio Marca when asked about who would win the Champions League.

Morata's lament

As Alvaro Morata faces his former club Juventus, Football Italia’s Chief Football Correspondent Richard Hall wonders what the Spaniard could've achieved.

“Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power”. This is a quote Alvaro Morata would be able to relate to, only the double interpretation of his career it offers up would trouble him. A player with height, speed, power, technique and ultimately supreme ability, there is a question as to why he is seen to have underachieved. How can this be when he has played for Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea and now Atletico Madrid?
